I understand that there are some major issues that will take time to address, but aren’t there also simple things that you could patch in the meantime? Small QOL things?

Because they are going to drop it with the DLC, which I think is a bad idea. There will be tons of new problems.

I paid money for this shit bro, wtf it doesnt even function properly, technicallly we bought a broken product… fcking amerrika is not great, they stoopid man… selling broken products, i thought the game would function properly ya know match within 10 sec etc like in any other nextgen 2020 game -,-

The interesting thing is the DLC its just a new skin and weapon and lore. And hopefully a stability/balance patch. They’ve been absolutely silent on it.

Most gamers are used to weekly resets and updates.
If they make a solid schedule of monthly updates, while not the worst, its certainly below expected thresholds.

Is not the DLC that will cause more issues, it’s the giant patch. Big patches ALWAYS bring more issues. Sure it will fix and change things but these changes will affect other things. It’s a domino effect. Smaller precise fixes mostly avoid this issue. Also, any balance changes they make will no doubt piss off a lot of people. By making many smaller incremental balance changes, things can be tweaked without unbalancing to such a large degree. This new patch is going to be a mess.

Even Sony is silent about PHG, which is ATM considered one of the worst playstation 4 release. So maybe Sony ain’t backing them that much…

Given the lack of playtesting and lack of test servers, whatever changes are probably by ear or just numbers on paper. No actual testing besides themselves
You took the words right from my mouth. Exactly this. Too much for a small team. I’m afraid this patch will be a long ass list of changes, fixes, nerfs and buffs without enough testing of its effects on other mechanics. Too much change at one time is not good.
Patching consoles costs money so it’s easier to drop it all at once.
Who’s jaw is going to drop if the entirety of the patchnotes is as follows.
- Added Dutch to Hunting Grounds!
- Added Dutch tapes to Hunting Grounds!
- Added Dutch gun to Hunting Grounds!
- Added Dutch knife to Hunting Grounds!
