There’s times where I have to wait 15 to 30 minutes just to play predator. In games like dead by daylight I usually only have to wait 2 minutes tops to play killer. Can anyone explain this to me?
Why does this game have such a long queue for predator?
Because in this game, playing predator is the “desired role” so you have more people wanting to play predator, and you need 4 FT members for every one predator. Dead by daylight has the opposite problem. Playing killer, atleast until you get really good, is not fun. The survivors just bully killers around and loop them and meme them. So people want to play survivor more than they do killer. So there’s always people searching to play survivor, so if you search for a killer match, you find one almost instantly

Is all about statistics.
a match is divided among 5 people.
100/5 = 20
That means that if more than 20% of the player base wants to play Pred, queues will go up instantly. There is no solution for that except keep nerfing the Pred to weed out players that are not up for the challenge.
Lately, I’ve only had to wait 4 to 6 minutes for predator games.
But if you are seeing those longer queue times, it’s pretty much what @DisturbedLlama said. Most people bought this game to play predator, and you need 4 fire team members for 1 predator.

I don’t, but, if it gets frustrating enough, a lot of people will simply desist from playing pred.
We already saw a reduction after the last patch. The harder it gets, the more players will just stop.
Hahahahah it’s plenty frustrating right now due to the bugs and freezes. I used to love playing ft solo que, because it was a bit harder and I still had weapons to max so I felt like I was completing something. Now there’s 0 reason to do that. I think if we got a big FT content addition, cosmetics, like 2 or 3 new classes. Does not need to be movie characters just classes, and some new weapons. Like 5, we’d get a MASSIVE influx of people playing ft exclusively. Me included
I’ll play predator no matter how much harder it gets. The past few days have been much more thrilling. I don’t even let the fireteam get reinforcements anymore, if I can stop them.

Yes but those are expensive to make and get rights to. If they drop “Medic” and “OWLF agent” and “Tracker” or whatever classes. It would be low cost low effort but still something new for players to try out and get excited about

I honestly don’t mind waiting…What we need is the same lobby’s as F13 that every time we finish a match we all go back to the lobby instead of the menu

PS4, Crossplay OFF and I’ve had consistent waiting times of 5mins on average. Sometimes I can be placed in 2mins, others 6mins. But the waiting times have been really good recently for me

idk what you talking about pred times are 6 mins is the max it goes, morning to mid day is about 3 mins, Later at night it’ll go up to 6
