Why i dont feel the predator is weak

I feel like most of the players raging that the predator is weak are just face checking the enemy fire team and gets destroyed, then does it the next game… Then comes on here to complain to and blame illfonic. Im worried players aren’t taking enough to learning the predator and constantly complain until the pred becomes too strong. How come good predators win most games or atleast 50/50. What happens if the pred gets a huge buff? we would probably see good pred players never lose,which would be very lame. My advice, take time to learn and practice the predator cause odds are, the complainers are scrubs like I was when I first started playing the predator.

Lastly: Think of it this way. Players are much more familiar with the fire team cause it is much like playing call of duty or any other fps game we have had for years at this point. But the Predator is much more dynamic than a simple rooty tooty aim and shooty playstyle the fire team lives by. No, the predator requires a much more advanced playstyle which is something many players haven’t done before so they find it hard and give up after 5 matches as I almost gave up but the truth is, the predator skill ceiling is enormous and will take much time to master. Even the best pred players right now have only scratched the surface.

He’s not too weak with HP or damage output he’s just exploitable. Melee combat is effectively busted due to infinite parries with your knife out and ranged combat is the only effective means of getting damage while not getting obliterated, but some people ping spam and make that a pain. The predator himself is not weak there are just a few features that need tweaking.

I agree some what, as far as dealing with knife parrying. I simply counter this with net gun. I should also mention I only engage in hand to hand combat if its against two soldiers, especially if I weakened them with 1 or 2 charged canon shots. I do wish the predator could switch/use gears and weapons mid air like during a leap or branch leap. I also wish using throwable gears as predator were instant. similar to throwing a grenade or a flash bang in cod.

untrue, I cheese hunters all the time. sometimes I net chain the last player til they dieXD Predator players just need to adapt to the fire team. I win atleast half my pred games and im still a scrub just a little less scrub than most pred players due to my hours and counting time spent practicing and learning the pred mechanics and strats.

I agree. The predator has a bit of a learning curve. If you are a good FT then the pred isn’t an issue. I’ve gone through Quite a few games now as a pred and I find I have a good understanding of how it plays and I beat most of the even partially coordinated parties of course I have a lot of helpful gear.

You have not experienced 4 man knife hell if you feel that way

So you may not have seen a sweat lord yet, but there are people who will 1v1 you with parrying. So saying, “I only engage 2 at a time” yeah against the sweat lords you are super dead trying that out. Yes net gun helps counter that, but here’s two huge issues. One is if someone parry’s you don’t always have time to net then down them, cause the parry causes a stun and that’s plenty of time to get mowed down. And secondly is that how we want this game played? No interesting builds no customization? If you want to use melee AT ALL you HAVE to bring a net gun or you’ll get parried into the ground? No sir that doesn’t work for me.

wrong. he is weak. face mask gets shot off yeah. their goes all his power and viability. ive lost count how many games as the fire team ive made the predator run off and chasing him down with the fireteam … and laughing thinking wtf is this?? lol … the predator isnt strong and is meant to be. i can literally side step jump his plasma caster. no the people complaining are not all scrubs. i literally parried the predator one on one once or twice and my other team member even as beserker from time to time made him flee. predator is seriously under powered. i can spot the predator where ever he runs too trees and jumping he is far too visible as well. im just going to call this post as i see it. utter bullshit. lol. blame illfonic. it is down to them hes this weak and combined with que times is literally pointless too play predator currently. if they listened to you the game would be flatline dead in days …

i was in a tree invisible and instantly melted my mask wrecked … yeah. the fireteam is insanely op enough said. the predator is an alien from another world not a being to be chased off like a squealing pig which majority of every game it happens. ive killed him so many times too for his body to be collected its insane. this is why they should and will hopefully buff him to a better standard to combat the fireteam

your right, I haven’t experienced it, mainly cause I know better than to engage a 4v1 hand to hand combat… didn’t you read my original post? ou cant face check a full team, this will result in death every time…

Dude predator is a damn joke. I mostly play fireteam and I haven’t lost a single match in the past four days. We even bait him out by splitting up two and two just to force him to blow his healing loads.

I can parry, stab, heal, parry, stab, force second wind, jump sprint chase the pred and force the self destruct.

Its fucking boring now.

If that’s true then why do I win at least half my games as predator? Ive ended some games so fast I only get a little over 3k xp as predator cause the match is so short. some games I get 6 kills? Ive only ever had my mask shot off once. Sometime I feel like the predator is op. But its all credited to the time ive put in freeplay cause the pred learning curve is huge and players aren’t willing to take time to figure it out so you demand being spoon fed a massive buff so you can just run in and 4v1 a fireteam with out much thought and hulk smash everyone…

like I said in my original post. fire team is simple playstyle we have learned over years of playing fps games like cod. Predator is different. He requires trying something new and difficult so most players will suck at first trying to 4v1 cod players

ok. record it. show us beating over half of the players or teams. also maybe they are utter potatoes or new. only shot off once … the predator is op. im not buying it. spoon fed. the fireteam is over powered they are literally like mobile juggernauts lmao … ok moving on. because this is just laughable that you think you want the pred or anyone to be spoon fed when these 4 are literally the equivalent of an army in strength and power.

haha right my man. after 5 games as predator I just about gave up cause I really felt like I couldn’t win. But patience and training has paid off.

yeah he played against potatoes im telling you. a competent team would of spotted him no matter where and ripped him to shreds. unless hes going beserker mode. not saying he is. mask only shot off once. yeah right. lol
