you make a good point there. I guess I just wouldn’t want to have the pred over buffed so pred can be successful with little effort. On the other hand of the spectrum its fun to be challenged to me. it forces you to get creative with plan of attack and using gears like motion sensor and decoys. the pred is strongest when he uses his recourses and planned angles of attack while the marines are forced to sit on objectives.

same i can hear him directionally too with my headphones just seems how they made it to be … footsteps too. draw distance on pc i can see him hop from tree to tree run along the cliff edges the rocks. doesnt matter where he goes that cloak might as well be a mirror saying here i am shoot me please im just for target practice plus spot spamming where he goes lol. yep im bored of fireteam already i want to play pred but due to his inconsistencies i am not subjecting myself to that. yep i already have been doing just that like you said. shut the game off went to play aliens vs predator 2010 because it was on sale … lol. i like the game or love it but illfonic need to get a patch out asap. im glad they made a statement thats a plus so thanks for that illfonic
im lvl 75 and only play predator games. I still haven’t used my double xp boost from pre ordering the game. last night I almost beat a full pc fireteam and one im pretty sure was hacking. heres a link I posted on yt of it

im tellin yea the predator cant really use anything other the the Plasmacaster and the combistick and its not because its so good its because the other options are so bad
look man i agree that the Combistick is a bit much i wanna play scout and use the bow and the hand held plasma caster but if you run that build you asking to lose and all im asking is make each option good if you know how to use it

yea head shots are fuck up i tested it with my friend it deals like 4x more Dmg if you land one
Im sorry but you must be lucky and are not going against any good fireteams. You fight my group i gurantee ill spot you as you come and lay into you with final sniper. Its just ridiculous how easy it is to kill predator. Im talking from a FT standpoint. I play ranged pred and melee if i can get it but they have to many heals to do any good plus the reinforcements are just dumb. It makes taking on the predator that much easier. Its a fun game and i love it but it needs some tweaks before it dies.

while you may be right, i can’t say i’ve gone against any easy teams like you have.
Most predator abilities are easily dodged. most predator stalking is easily noticed, a decent fireteam will carry a revolver/sniper/grenade launcher, regardless of face tanking, range viability is piss-poor.
When you get spotted, you have to get out of the area for abit, in that time the objective can be rushed.
Evacuating is also easily done.
But the main issue relies the predator being utterly away from the fireteam, and then when you fire a shot its easily located and follow ups are dodged. if you tell me otherwise, i’d say you are going against bad fireteams.
The fireteam is spoon fed with too many advantageous scenarios. while i agree the predator learning curve is intense, there’s too much to compensate on what the fireteam is given as a guarantee.

Might as well argue that water isn’t wet at this point 🤣🤣🤣 his current two outta the four melee weapons are tash compared to the combi and wrist blades but I guess it’s balanced since the net gun/traps and plasma gun are the only good weapons sadly the pistol sucks and hunter class is not even a glass cannon that’s the scout class’s role. Let’s all be honest with each other, everyone is going to have different experiences and we all need to learn from our experiences not just ask for the game to be made easy for either side, do I think that ft is stacked against pred? Yes but that doesn’t mean don’t try to find strategies to counteract the enemy. Even talk to other pred mains and see if they have any tips or strategies you haven’t used, As for the net against a a competent fireteam the net is indeed useless as all it takes is one swipe of a friendly ft knife to be freed.
I just got done playing and I killed 3 FT members and the last guy revived the whole team. I used all my health and hogs are no where available for a 2nd chance. The fire team has multiple ways to heal and more health options all over the map. While the predator only has 2 and he takes forever to heal while fire team takes literally a second and he’s back to good health. The fire team has field syringes, med kits and gear kits that they can replenish their 2 field syringes with. Predator has 2 and they are very limited. There definitely needs a balance, I’m not asking for predator to just be able to kill the FT with a few slashes but give him more of a fighting chance. The only class suitable to take on an experienced fire team is beserker. The other classes don’t really stand a chance against an experienced fire team
I dont think the pred is weak, I win most matches… But how a human stops a Berserker pred with a combistick hit… is beyond me.
Also the scout pred is worthless… Less health and basically no gear? Can be outrun in 2nd wind by a human scout… Whats the point.
“Use tactics that other successful predators use”… listen here you lil shits. I’ve won, like a lot as predator. Level 99 (only pred) no x2 exp… on pc. But damn do I gotta work my ass off. It’s not fair, these fireteams just run around chasing. I have to bait them into CHASING ME to win more often… it’s disgusting. Instead of them sweating and cowering in the buildings and nervous about entering the jungle… they’re jumping on pipes, roofs, going out into the water area (backwater), charging you with knifes, etc.
Wanna know how I usually win? Down a player real quick with standing still into combistick in the back, into 2-3 melees+combi throw (after I down them)… i like never quick claim… almost like ever. I immediately run to collect my stick and retreat after he’s dead. OR I kinda get a good spot on a rock, hill, helipad, dense jungle so they have trouble seeing me… then fully charge a plasma cast at a person doing an objective. Then killing them while they’re being revived. 🙃 Now is the hunt over? Hell no. I press v into x during all this chaos to see if anyone is split up. I observe and see if they keep going for me or the objective. I play the time and I forgot to mention… before my very first v+x for isolation I decide my strat, either I go for the combi thing or I check the closest radio “reinforcement” spot where I spawned near. If it’s there, I chuck a few like 2-3 motion detectors leading towards it so I’ll know ahead of time if they sneak by me… anyways. Going back to the 1v3. At this point 1-2 might be shooting and the 1 will be ready with his knife. It all depends how close I am to them. I’ll mess with them by singing “tip toe through the tulips” while either shooting or combisticking the one with their gun out XD… this usually throws them off.
As the predator… you can TALK… abuse it. Get inside their head, the more you keep their egos talking the less focused they’ll be. Fire team members KNOW they’re stronger than you aside from being able to leap or camo fully… is predator weaker technically in melee? Yes. Is he weak vs Snipers, auto shotties and the AK gun? Well ye. The only thing we’ve got is element of surprise and being cheeky af. They know all this. They just gotta land their shots and try to trade with you. Don’t get baited into their game… THEY ARE STRONGER, especially together. 2 shots with a sniper destroys your helmet. You’ve got to limit exposing yourself by looking away from them while looking for them. Strange I know… but only look at them when you want to attack. Okay so getting back to finishing off a 1v3. If you downed or landed a good plasma blast cool! Gj! Repeat the blast or combi 2-3 hit into throw on their body then pull the agro towards you again. The downed guy has like 3-4 seconds tops. Now it’s a 1v2. Ask yourself did they finish all the objectives in the area already? To find this out… look for buildings with locked doors that are usually open. If some equipment isn’t blown up or theres cards/crates unopened they haven’t finished! If the 2 are still lingering instead of reinforcements either finish them melee or traps. Now we got maybe 1 or 2 if they didn’t parry well… gg! But if they did go for reinforcements… it’s all up to you if you wanna set up a TOOON of traps like 3-4 bear traps will do. If you’re winning you can actually use them!! Crazy… oh a neat trick when taking a bad trade. Say they beam you (it happens even to me)… they know you’re hurt and you hear those pesky scout/recon players charging with knifes!! Toss 1-2 bear traps surrounding you around a corner so they can’t shoot it!! Immediately med up after placing them IN CAMO… so you don’t get seen right away. Now, GET READY to cancel your heal k? Doesn’t matter if you’re only over like 60% hp just cancel it THE VERY MOMENT one of them gets trapped. Go fuckkk them up and punish for being a cocky asshole. Kill the 1-2. If you run extra pouch which I cannot imagine not… you can secure so many more games. Anyways. Hope my giant wall of text helps some people.
To clarify, is predator weaker in terms of stats? Yes. Is he stronger when you push every ounce of his mobility/tactics? Yeah… but that doesn’t mean we should stop there. I don’t FEEEL like I’m hunting. I feel like I’m punishing bullies and cod players while they essentially cheat off my homework all year long. XD I just don’t think predator is worth playing if you’re tryin to have good old fashioned fun… you play it to unlock your inner psychopath and truly hate yourself… lmao.
