Is voodoo a code name or an actual person? Because each time Zeus talks to us, its directed at Voodoo.
So is it an actual person or what the team is called?
Why is Dutch referred to as Voodoo while using the DLC?
Voodoo is FT
It’s like alpha, bravo, charlie, Delta, echo, foxtrot etc.
Home base - ZEUS, fireteam (like the team) Voodoo!
Got it!
Because it’s a very cool name.
Ya its the name of the FT squad
I like it, it’s a nice touch, wish we knew more about the organization we’re a part of.
Eventually it would be cool to choose between the various factions of the game or have characters from different sides.
I believe we’re apart of OWLF. In the PHG prequel book, Predator :stalking shadows, Devlin (Zeus) was apart of the team that helped pick up the mess back in 1997 but he didn’t know the name of the group he worked for. And considering that (spoilers for the book) he was apart of the clean up crew, and had orders to listen to OWLF operatives with little question from Devlins cammanding officer, and that the same base Devlin was based in was the same one Dutch unloaded both Yautja bodies and Yautja technology, I think its very likly this was the OWLF. And it would make sense that the FT doesn’t know what the Yautja are since even Devlin doesn’t know untill after he leaves the OWLF.
Now he does go off on non-Yautja related missions. But this could be because the OWLF needs to do these missions for funding or to warrent the funding they already have. It could also be for appearances to make sure that both the FT doesn’t find out, or anyone else, be it goverment or conspiracy theorist.
Its also possible that these missions are Yautja related (all of them, not just the ones we’re shown) but they’re covered up to well.
Now it is possible that none of these theories stand up and the OWLF have such a high standing in the military that they can highjack any branch of the military as needed, though this is unlikly as early Stargazer relied on mercs, not military soldiers to run their missions. Though it is possible that early stargazer doesn’t have the same military status as the OWLF.
From what i gather from the missions in PGH the stargazers are really really doing dirty work to get what they need. But they are all militant soldiers. Not sure though where they are from originally but their gear shows they are highly adaptable which means they could be all sorts of awol soldiers working off the books. real unlawful stuff. That is until they turn to or into Colonial Marines…eventually.
I’ve read the book (never caught that Devlin was supposed to be our Zeus from the game), it doesn’t make it clearer who we in the game work for. Devlin was in a Counter Terrorism unit and stationed at the same base as Dutch’s team and STGZ agents (referred to as MiB’s).
From Stalking Shadows… to me i gathered it was all Dutch’s ‘formed’ team because Dutch keeps stating ‘he’ is forming a team…and all sources point to the US government unless otherwise stated. So it must have been some kind of OWLF directive/accountability considering that know one else is funding it.
I’m interested into what all this is about.
Ya, I listened to the review on it from AVP galaxy podcast, they said that Devlin was supposed to be Zeus according to an interview they had.
to add: I don’t know why their logo has such formalities. Whoever they are…probably have some pseudo-cult basis. Because the logo affirms that they have some kind of affiliation with official US departments. Maybe in future events, the US departments have become defunded…
The logos are very US inspired taken influence from them but somehow had become disseminated.
But I could be wrong…space agencies tend to use the same colors and styles no matter what country.
Thank you, I appreciate the lore.
No problem
