Why is everyone so viciously dismissive of customization?
With the exception of Samurai(idk for sure) but all the other premium Predators are based on actual Characters from my knowledge. I would like for all customization to be brought over to the default female Predator like predlocks and hopefully sometime armor 🤞.
But I think they should let the classes be what they are. If they released Alexa Woods I’d want to play as her, or if they released a female Predator from the movies(I haven’t read any of the comics) I’d want it to be limited to gender as well.
Actor is a gender neutral term, so not the best example unless that is your point.
I’m all for predator gender options, but i understand and am completely fine with jungle hunter, city hunter, dutch, alpha and elder being gender locked (but it would be great if we could get a female elder type too). The samurai on the other hand, just using the hunter class body and head, could have easily made available for females with a different chest piece.
Then on the other hand, I’m not in the slightest interested in your view on gender politics or the relationship to your girlfriend. Keep those things off the forum, or deal with the feedback.

I have the utmost respect for people of all genders and identities, but it really irks me when the discrimination card comes out especially when the person in question was making a really relevant point without the need to find an “-ISM” and suggest there is some sort of discrimination at play.
I don’t know how to express this without sounding offensive or even like I’m being a troll because it isn’t my intention - but it seems to me that many members of the american LBTQ+ community look at everything from a purely gender perspective and sees things in a very binary - sexist/not sexist perspective and its utterly puzzling to me in the context you have given? To say the choices for customisation are sexist is purely without basis in fact and to muddy the water with such accusations is wrong and frankly immoral.
The characters we have had so far (perhaps with the exception of the samurai), are established characters with already established genders taken straight from the movies or action figures. A female option wouldn’t have gone amiss for the predator DLC’S thus far but they are not generic and do represent characters so I get that. I suppose this isn’t much different than expecting a female version of Dutch.
I am all for customisation, but we are not defined by the gender of your character or avatar, I certainly am not. These are characters - its a chance to be someone else, I don’t make characters that look like me, have the same sexual organs or backstory - everytime I play I am not flying the flag for my race, religion, gender or sexual preference.
I have a couple of female preds simply because I like how they look and I am a male. And no not from a sexual perspective either before a judgement is made. A 7 foot reptilian alien with mammaries does not tickle my pickle, they just look bad ass.
Gender doesn’t matter where it concerns a fictional species of alien trophy hunters where they have all been assumed to be sexless/asexual reptillians so far? I mean I’ve said this before I don’t care if the predator has a phallus, a vagina or a cloaca for popping out eggs - their mating and genders only show a glimmer of similarity to human so its not comparable at all.
Humans of both genders in this game are hugely under represented, there’s a lack of heads, races, and hairstyles and it’s equal for both males and females.
If the OWLF tapes are correct we are going to get a major female predator in Egyptian style armor, I don’t think this was designed to appease highly strung feminists or play to gender politics or what-not i think its simply a case of it being cool.

Lol fuck out of here with this sexist agenda. The samurai pred is gender locked cause guess what there were only a few samurai Preds in the dark horse comics, and guess what All Male. The Alpha is a original concept so I have no answer there. The Elder Pred is not a grandpa pred but a Clan leader and in lore only a male Pred can be a clan leader.
Why on earth would the 87 and 97 pred be gender switchable? They are male preds in the movies.
Sure the pred locks being gender locked is wack and needs to be addressed. But the others are simply lore locked not gender locked. They are running off the cannon universe. So they really cant alter it to much in that regard.
Now lets get to the real topic that it sounds like you are a toxic little snowflake that thinks just because you are a Trans person that you can act like your the Top of the world or accuse ppl of being sexist. Get over yourself its a game. Just because you think it needs to be one way dose not make it the right way. So stop being toxic and become P.C plz it’s embarrassing in 2020 you think that crying and throwing a fit is a way to get something. Grow up

It’s obvious because people like you never complain about not being able to play as a male in Horizon zero dawn or in Tomb raider.

Let’s take city hunter as an example. He is a movie character from predator 2. He is male. Changing his sex means he is no longer city hunter from predator 2. The same is true for Jungle Hunter, Elder and Alpha. There is no gender locking because there is no female version of these characters for the same reason there is no female Dutch. Please disprove these facts if you can. If you cannot then your whole argument is BS.
Do you think that in the upcoming spiderman Miles Morales game you should get to make Miles white? Or female? If so then you clearly don’t know what an established character like Miles is VS a generic skin like scout or berserker.
Why don’t you ask illfonic to add some female characters? I am sure there are some in the books or comics. Nobody will complain about them being gender locked. Especially you since it’s only males you have an issue with.

A true and valid point. I’m sure the OP will be annoyed at this, but their issue does only seem to be with male characters.
If someone came in these forums complaining about being able to make female predators (im sure I’ve seen one or two), then as a community of accepting people, most of us would tell them to shut the fuck up and stop being such a macho sausage lover.
Anyone who can only see the world through the lens of a gender victim had this coming.
The reality is unless you’re a Conservative religious nut, most people in the 21st century don’t care which sex or gender identity other people have. Having gender discrimination painted over absolutely everything falsely to help push a person’s agenda or validate a point of view is pathetic.
When there is real discrimination and people tell them that they can’t dress the way they want, sleep with who they want, or marry who they want then I will stand with them shoulder to shoulder to protect their rights.
When they falsely claim to be a victim of discrimination to get what they want then I will stand against them to help the wrongly accused.
The thing about this argument is it’s true about the sayer as well. It’s a type of virtue signalling.
