If it’s the counter how come all players use it no matter the class? That means anybody can counter a type of play style no matter what this being said only classes like recon should be able to use the knife even then it should be a 50/50 chance of parrying
Why is this not a perk
These forums just make me sad anymore. Nobody wants the Predator to rise to the challenge, they just want a gimme win, because they had to wait 5-10 minutes to play.
So on a success you should only get that success half the time… yeah that doesn’t seem fair.
Parry has already been nerfed for balance, doing more would just be uncool, it doesn’t need it.

So yes the parry is needed in the game with no perk that removes it ;)

The Pred player has to take some responsibility for how they attack, whether they test the team before jumping someone.
Also as I’ve stated before in this convo, if you’re on PC and I’m on PS4 we’re not talking at the same issue.
Edit - It’s a counter mechanic, it isn’t a special power it’s for overall balance not about a build… it’s not even knife only, I’ve parried with my Assault rifle.
Lol I’m ps4 and pred is a joke I haven’t lost a rando in a bit but when against a team that slightly knows what’s up it gets a bit harder so a class should be who can parry maybe a melee expert or something because with the whole team being able to parry yes the pred should know how to attack when melee but my 7 year old brother killed one of our best preds inna melee he parryed him the first time while stabbing we melted the pred then later on if it wasn’t for him knifing we would’ve lost lmao pred is once again a joke
Parry is more comparable to ADS’ing than a perk, would you want a perk to even ADS?
Edit - I mostly play with random’s, so that’s the balance I see not tournament or team.

no not really a kinfe would be but not parrying parrying is more comparable to sayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy healing or an ammo kit as it impacts the match in that kinda level
It reflects skill or knowledge our characters are likely to have, if you don’t know how to aim a gun in real life, your likely doing the equivalent of just hip firing, but with a small amount of training, you can know how to aim down your sights.
Parry is just knowing if you interrupt a swing before it gains momentum, hence power, you can save yourself. It means stepping into danger to avoid it. It’s just knowledge though.

If anything, I think a melee FT class should get an auto parry while holding a large melee weapon as a class skill, which open the door to a FT perk. Lol
Yes, but another idea to add Is what about parry percentages on each knife the first knife will be trash and parry 1/4 times randomly and better knives like the last one could have 1/2 chance to parry
