If a predator can choke slam 2 aliens. Aka wolf… i see no way a humans going to even block the shot.
Lets get this straight… there is no parry system. If the pred swings and you jump crouch behind him thats a parry.

That’s not really how parrying works, you’re not interrupting the swing when it has all of its potential turned into kinetic energy. You’re interrupting the process and blocking a much weaker swing.
Picture a baseball bat being swung, as it comes past the shoulder it gains momentum and converts the potential of the mass of the bat and the muscle powering the swing. If you step in and grab the bat before it gets passed about 15 degrees beyond the shoulder, it’s easy to grab. If you wait till it’s at the centre of their chest or about 90 degrees into the swing (passed the shoulder) and have allowed all the energy to be converted then it’s very difficult to stop and certainly not by catching it one handed.

Parry is a pretty cheap and a lazy “solution” to the melee spam problem… however it’s not a hard counter if you can fake and juke, attacking from the side or behind. One of my. Favorite things to do is get a FT to parry a few times, and we he gets all cocky thinking hes all tough, I just pull out the net gun and see his attitude melt like butter on a hot skillet.
