Why Killing the Predator does not reward with exfill

It’s pretty Obvious! Stares you in the face, Hinted in Predator 2 and The Predator!!

Owlf is only there for the body! The “bonus
They promise is three meals, a bed and a shower!

If you kill the Predator OWLF will not let you just roam the streets with knowledge of an Alien Trophy Hunter!!

But, like, the tattoo on elite Assault’s shoulder kind of indicates that some of FT members know of Predator’s existence. And, like, a lot of the missions on Excavation mention Predators directly.
So I do think that voodoo would kinda be just brought up to speed after the Predator encounter.

Yep then put into group 2 lol

It’s dumb that Predator arming the bomb and killing himself actually counts as a win for Pred lol.

I mean, the Dutch won by escaping the blast in the movie.

I don’t really care what the in-game enciclopedia says. Like, half the time I count games with escapes as a victory for the Predator. Like, I think my rules for our two old tournaments are pretty good for counting points for both sides.

If you read the novel that came out with this game (Predator stalking shadows). You’d know the fire team you play as is one of the teams Dutch put together specifically for hunting predators while working with the OWLF.

It doesn’t count as a win unless it kills all the remaining members. If at least 1 member escapes the blast radius, FT wins.

That’s actually not true, if the predator detonated he wins regardless. He prevented the fire team from completing their objective, escaping, or capturing his body.

The game counts detonation as a predator win no matter who survives the blast.

As much as I wish this was not the case, you are indeed correct that this is the case. Very much in your face in this game that they all know about the predator

Which is dumb, which is why no one counts that. The game can say you win all you want. Your dead hoss and the other team is alive and the reason you are dead

Except self destructing is considered an honorable death in the Yautia tradition. He isn’t trying to kill you with the bomb. He’s making sure you don’t get his body.

I’m a fire team main and if there’s one thing I know it’s that you need to defuse the bomb or escape on the chopper if you want to win.

I’ve killed Preds under 2 minutes, there’s no honor in dying that fast. xD

not really , they both lose

I never understood how surviving the blast radius means its a L for the ft

I personally always called it a loss if I gotta arm the bomb. At best it’s a draw.

It actually doesn’t count. If we look at How to Play, it even mentions that if one FT member escapes, the hunt has failed for the Predator. This applies to both the chopper and escaping the blast radius. When the weekly/daily challenge is available in which you are required to win quickplay matches as Fireteam, it counts towards the challenge if you escape the blast radius. Although I agree the Predator wins in their way, they don’t officially win. Once the pred has set the bomb, they’ve proved honor-bound and exonerated themselves from disgrace.

I also don’t get why people can get back into game even after extraction. If you go to chopper and somebody calls back in you get back into the game but that should not happen

I mean it’s a win bc in lore not only do they do it to keep their honor intact but to also prevent lesser races from obtaining their technology. I’d def say it’s a win in my back if I die and keep my gear safe with me by being incinerated
