Overall I think the patch seems good but I don’t understand why illfonic had to nerf the Veritanium. at level 100 it’s already hard enough to get currency so why nerf it and make it harder to get especially if you’re still working you have alot less time to grind on the game and get the stuff you wanna get.
Why nerf Veritanium?
I agree, I am not a fan of removing the impact grenade on Grenade launcher but I really dislike the fact that they felt the need to reduce the V’s we are getting from same items… it is grindy and awful the way it is, if you want to unlock nice shaders for every class of pred you are good as dead, because you ain’t getting it all anytime soon. Except for those two changes, I really liked the patch…
Probably because they’re planning to introduce micro-transactions. I believe this had been mentioned at one point during development and just hasn’t been implemented yet. Get ready to pay $ for loot boxes…

Honestly I was surprised when I booted up the first day. I kept wondering, where is the button to buy loot boxes? Lol, I don’t want it either. I hate that shit so much. But it’s so standard nowadays I almost expect it.

I think they’ll still be generous with loot boxes. I like that I get 5 every 10 levels. And I like that I can pick up the currency in game. Those are still pretty generous. It’s a small studio and if it means the difference between the game continuing to get support and dying completely then I guess I get it. I also feel like I level and unlock stuff pretty quick. The game doesn’t really feel that grindy to me. As long as they don’t go overboard into EA or Bethesda territory I’m fine.
It doesn’t feel too grindy for you now but when you reach max rank you stop getting those loot boxes only way to get them at max rank is to buy them with the in game currency and you only get like 100 vertanium a match that’s about 5 matches for one loot box, imo they either need to raise the level cap or give out a more generous amount after each match.
I’ve been hearing that from maxed out players and yeah, I’d agree that needs to change. But I also imagine they have plans for the game past lvl 100.
