My losses come from ranged, bow almost always.
Worst case scenario samurai gets second winded without dying, wises up and comes back with a plasma caster and realizes trying to 100-0 combo people is stupid and no one gaf about his 6 dmg bleed tick single target damage when we have 170 hp.
Melee is just plain bad compared to ranged, it barely functions in a 1v1 scenario without a netgun. Why lose hp ever if you can poke at a safe distance with bow for comparable damage lol.

I run randoms(no idea about you) I get 2-3 PS players. Most of the loses come from them getting killed in melee since turn rate, ability to shoot predators charging at them is very low… If I had 4 man PC squads of people that knew what they were doing… Yeah… Melee would not be so good, thing is, that is not what I am getting in the vast majority of games I play.
No every patch has nerfed pred more than ft against a good ft what is one patch that would help the pred

4.parrying is too good (too fix this it should be 2 parry’s and your knife breaks)

I would be ok with after 2 blocks you get a CD until you can block against but not for your knife to brake.
Thing is, after 2 parry you should be dead against any decent team. That or second windded.
I’d be on board for the Fireteam having traps.
I think a claymore or a bouncing betty type equipment would be cool and would work well.

Thing is bringing in a defensive playstyle for the FT beyond them just holeing up in a building or crawlspace is very very iffy considering their offensive power. FT is designed around running around blasting through objectives and blasting at the pred when he shows up. Not waiting for him and then melting him instantly. FT in theory is supposed to be busy with AI and missions, not holed up in a house.
At most they can get some sort of mine with a stun effect but nothings stopping me or anyone else from setting up a claymore SAW trap in a doorway.

Yup, we all know that - ALL OF US. Pred’s main are frustrated, FT mains are pissing laughing and devs… well, I guess they are FT mains.
I think someone said that using traps when you’re the only one left. It would be a good mechanic. Go to a place, set up traps then hold up for reinforcements (longer then normal ones). I think it would add to the game.
If traps were implemented I definitely feel like they should be a tradeoff for reinforcements. It’d be more in line with the movie anyways & lets one person try for a clutch.
Game’s very focused on one side 100-0ing the other as fast as possible right now which is a lot of wasted potential. And the potential’s there this game has interactable switches in already, they just need to do more with the environment interactions.
LET ME DO SOMETHING OTHER THAN OPEN AND CLOSE THE DAMN SKYLIGHT IN THE LAB. Imagine lockdowns and interactable generators and such on night maps ;_; they could have a really dynamic game here and instead we’re doing fetch quest objectives in a vaccum
like in AVP 2010 when you can open/destroy door with the alien and pred, HELL YEAH
I don’t see how traps could be used to do anything remotely impressive aside for buying some time so you can get your team in. Not only that it needs to be something that does not take much time. Sticking around for someone else to play… Well it needs to be short AND reward those who are dead. If I die and I know there are no reinforcements… I just leave. I don’t need XP.

I hope not, its going to be a nightmare to operate in the dark for FT. If its hard to pinpoint where the pred is in the day… How are you going to do it in the night.
Man you have no idea load up AvP2 sometime and run SuKStronghold or hell the videos up on youtube somewhere. Huge modded dynamic evac map where aliens start in tunnels underground that they dig through and eventually have to break through doors as marines lock them down, call in bombardments, turn on backup generators etc.
Found it. I actually forgot this map had different outcomes depending on how long marines were able to hold the area. Nuts.
The reward is that the potential to win is still there if the last guy clutches via traps which is enough of a reason to stay in the game and see how it plays out. If I get quick claimed in 3 minutes infront of my blind pub teammates and they get like 2 shots off thats an alt f4 currently I know how the game ends.
You can’t get rid of parry and keep a FT player base. The math isn’t hard.
Lots of suggestions for how to deal with it.
