Winning Conditions

Here is something that I’ve noticed.

The Fireteam has three ways to, practically, win a match.

  1. Complete all mission objectives and extract successfully.

  2. Successfully kill the Predator and secure the body (which gives bonus XP I believe).

  3. Successfully survive the blast from the Predator’s self destruct.

As for the Predator…kill all members of the Fireteam. That’s it!

Now, I understand it’s the aspect of the game. The Fireteam are sent in to complete a mission (primary objective) and the Predator just so happens to be hunting them. So, this then either makes surviving agsinst the Predator the second objective OR killing the Predator…which then becomes the primary objective. However… …the Predator’s primary objective is to kill the Fireteam.

So…just a thought. What do you guys think about this? Should the Predator maybe have more ways to win the match, added options (maybe two versions of self destruct - wrist version and ship version…which is a kill all if successfull (but of course harder to activate and defuse), or is this ok the way it is?

Predator has no “win condition” per se. Nowhere does it say “you win”. Nowhere does it say “you lose”. You just get varying number of points and xp.

It would be nice to have another way to win since ft always likes to run away.
But I still count it as a win if I kill at least 1.

Like if i kill 2 or 3 then they revive with reinforcements. It’s like. Pfft. I got you. And me roaring at them is me screaming YA YOU BETTER RUN.

The predator has 2 ways to win. 2- kill FT by explosion. I think that everything is fine in this regard. Although achieving victory for FT is too easy

Well, it would be hard to bring something in for the Predator to do else than killing everything.
I could imagine a task to sabotage the mission of the Fireteam so they need way more time or other objects to finish the minish but I dont know what tasks that could be as the missions for the FT are pretty well made imho.

I just recently had a game where the fire team not only spotted me near instantly, they also chased me with their full team around the trainyard (that big site). Literally at least two full laps worth around the site, even with me zigzagging, double backing and crossing the site diagonally. They just kept coming after me and spotting me again. All the while I was in cloak. When I ran half a map away to heal, came back, they did it again.

They chased me minimum 8 minutes. Nothing but just running after me, ignoring the objectives. To such an extent, I expected them to run out of time to finish their mission. Eventually I had to run to a corner of the map and just wait it out as I had used both my heals. They extracted with less than minute on the clock. I could do pretty much nothing.

I suspected there couldve been a hack involved, but it might as well been just recon spot being broken. They had 2 recons 1 supp 1 assault.

I’ve had a couple “greedy” FT’s that apparently came to hunt me and nothing else. One or two of them have gotten me, sure, but I enjoyed surprising the others with evasive tactics and counter-aggression and ripping their spines out of their soft, fleshy bodies.

I’ve had that happen to me once. Full ps4 lobby so no hacks. It was a hell of a fight. I had fun though, they were annoying because they were organized. But you could tell they wanted a fight. They made me use all my heals and got away but I had fun.

There was another team who tried that but they ran outa time
That one wasnt too fun I dont even remember it.

I wouldn’t call blowing them up a win. More of a stalemate

The game counts this as a victory. At least judging by experience for such a maneuver.

Eh the cut scene makes me think stalemate because as predator your dead and more than likely some FT survived. So the win is when you have cut scene of predator holding skulls.
