Wouldn't revealing the truth about predators help?

Every country pretty much knows about preds already, at least to my understanding.

Smaller mercenary forces would be likely to disband or at least become smaller

Bigger ones will start hunting them who then in turn die

Survivors will give out stories providing Intel to governments

And the mercs who do kill a Pred can’t be worse than a predator

Especially if your already tracking said predator

What gives you that impression? Stargazer only knows about them because of their prior Defence contracts, and they’re trying to leverage the technology to corner various markets and boost their global presence, so there’s no incentive to let other nations or organisations know about the predators, even when they’re working together with them.

Overall, I think humankind becoming universally aware of the predators, and potentially allied against them, is possibly the worst outcome. While we remain divided and oblivious they’re happy to visit and just pick off the most violent individuals among us. The instant they see us as a threat they could just wipe us out from orbit.

Isa knew them and the fact that there’s mercenary groups who know about them I.E the hunters from the hunters comics

There’s also OWLF who isn’t in it for monetary gain. At least generally. They’re interested in expanding human technology.

That has nothing to do with public knowledge though

Plus we already have top notch predator hunters in the field

Although I consider myself a big, and longtime Predator fan… I think you may be overthinking Predator.

Some things are just the way they are for effect.

Like why the Terminators never think to use chemical weapons to wipe out humans with ease.

WHY DO YOU THINK LORD OF THE RINGS IS SO POPULAR

Besides this is just for fun I fully understand that the guys in charge don’t have time to think about this and just manage the status quo

I dont think wiping us out from orbit would be their style , they would find it boring

help what? make them leave? They don’t have much to offer anymore anyways other than their ships (nvm isabelle brought us one), we don’t need their throwing sticks.

we have to go out of our way to attract them to earth
They don’t actually care about coming here.

We are a 1 star rated safari

I would imagine that if mankind had more knowledge of their species , wouldn’t that attract them more to earth? The more prepared humans are the bigger the fight?

Generally no. If a race declares war upon the Yautja they tend to just stop visiting their world/s and leave the race alone because whilst Yautja can be incredibly adept at warfare and do have the technology to do so, they find it distasteful and think it upsets the natural balance of species.

They’re actually coming to earth more and more

The issue is what happens when one dies.

The bombs can level city blocks and worse given the AVP Predators. Meaning if you take it down you have to destroy the computer or disarm it else your city or town is just gone.

They also adapt to the hunt so they’ll take notice and send more hunters or better Predators. Part of the reason Assassin was the way he was is because Predators keep dying on Earth. They’ll send much worse. And nothing is really stopping them from just bombing us into submission. These things live to kill shit so a horde of them coming to meet an opposing force is asking for trouble. Just one is a problem, imagine a squad or even twenty.

In AVP 2010 they blew up the Marlow because it happened to be there. I’d totally buy them just bombing a planet given in the same game the nuke they set off was visible from orbit.

They’re actually really big on environmental conservation & preserving species. It’s why their Honor Code forbids them from hunting pregnant females and when they need to hunt for food they’re supposed to track down & eat animals which are weaker & less likely to breed with other members of their species. They’d never engage in something like say Glassing a Planet since it would break their code and also prevent future hunts.

They made a point about causing mass conflict to draw them in because we weren’t getting any action lol.
Stargazer OWLF whatever get defunded if a strong wind blows in their direction.

They don’t reveal the truth because its so rare and forced that no one would know its happening anyway

Most of the time they don’t even arm it

They just die

And that’s if they’re in a city

They’ll get more trophies not better trophies

So no more additional predators

No more dangerous predators

That relies on preds actively dying

According to the tapes they’re coming more and more because they’re more of a threat

Or according to the book I don’t remember

It was odd that in concrete jungle the gauntlet goes off but the pred survived

In Concrete Jungle Scarface detonated his ship, not his gauntlet. That was a part of the reason the clan was mad at him given that he blew up the hunting ground, dropped a ton of his stuff, revealed himself so openly, and couldn’t even blow himself up like everyone else. That’s the reason he’s sent back with youngblood gear and is viewed so poorly by them. He essentially was sent back to clean up his mess and learn how to be a proper hunter all over again.

His falling into the building and essentially being covered in debris is what helped save his life since he was a fair ways away from his ship and the blast couldn’t hit him since he was under the debris like Dutch was with the log.
