Funny how we had great people in the community like Skoolboy who literally spent hours finding the numbers for all this stuff after every damn update that changed balance, and still people want to argue against proven in game numbers.

And I stress the had because IllFonic won’t even support someone who did more for the community than they ever did, and now we no longer will be able to have the website. Fuck you illfonic.

Me too. And the worst part is I’m not sure how effective Skill Based Match Making would be (even though this game sorely needs it) given how limited and small the playerbase is. Even then, if the playerbase was bigger, I highly doubt IllFonic would implement it because they are lazy as hell.

No mediocre player is going to win 90% in any game.
So you’re downplaying people, for whatever reason.

Theres ways to make it so the que wouldn’t be that long.
And it’s not about making it easy for pred, its literally just about balance.

It was that if FT played like a ghost recon wildlands missions on the highest difficulty, it would be a way more fun game.

The reason I mention it, if you care, is because things like that, is how you avoid the long ques.

It can be done.

Il use mobas as a perfect example.
Matches are on average 30 minutes there.

Yet the que is only like 2 minutes, or 2 min 30 sec.
But its guaranteed, not an estimate matchmaking time.

Yeah. Played a few. And they always end up making the team faction too strong.

Anyways, nice to see a meme thread about the wrist launcher has devolved into arguing about the inherent balancing of asyms and such. What shall we discuss next, politics or philosophy?

Back to the wrist launcher, if you use it you are a shitty wrist weapon chad as Fin said.

If I may chime in…

This game is not balanced, in the sense that the levels of damage + skill on both sides do not equate whatsoever. If we were to take a proper scale, and put all of the recorded evidence of damage numbers for every weapon on the current build on both sides, Pred on one and FT on the other, the side for the FT would greatly outweigh the Pred. Like, it would sink all the way down.

Try and see it from this perspective: Take the videos @SkooLBoY_SkePtiK did of all the assault rifles on Mr. Black, with no perks or auto-buffs that others like Leader give to the FT. The majority of them can SW a Pred in a single clip. Now, this is one player, doing this type of damage. Now add in three more. Four players, doing this type of damage. Now, add in perks like Yautja’s Bane. Now add buffs like Leader, or Assault’s Deadly or Dutch 87’s hipfire passive. Now add glitched buffs like Fanatic (you can even remove this from the equation, the results will stay the same). And finally, add in at least two years of skill to these FT players, each one able to aim and shoot with precision. Do you see how the scale tips dramatically in the FT’s favor, over the Pred? Do you see the massive displacement in damage percentage in comparison? And this is just assault rifles. How about the Sawz? Or 1101? I’ve had my health drained 30% from ONE shot. One person popping those off at you. Now try four.

I’ve seen some people here argue that the top players know how to avoid the damage, and this couldn’t be farther from the truth. Anyone who watches Sam, Gesp, Thunderwolf, etc. when they play together, will see how even if you are the most skilled Predator player, you will be outdamaged almost immediately. I’ve seen Sam, who many consider to be the best if not one of the top 5 Preds, get wrecked by his friends as FT, over and over and over and over and over, before he wins one round. Anyone who says that when top players fight the w/l becomes around 50/50 is not paying attention. Yes, they know how to avoid making potato mistakes so they aren’t lit up, but the fact remains that you can’t escape not being shot with these types of players, and when you are, the balances of the Predator are so horrible that you can almost never engage. Sam himself and several other top players have said that you will lose more matches against premades than you will win, simply because of the balance levels. As Pred, what can you do to level that damage field? The axe? Instant melt. Bow/Combi? Aim must be spot on or melted. Stalker/Plasma? Projectile weapon, so aim must be consistent, however you will be spotted immediately and lit up, even if you move. These are simply examples of the highest damage outputs the Pred can do, obviously if you input skill into it, especially the latter two, you’re able to be more proficient. Point being, these should not be the only options, and should not carry such a high risk, high reward factor, and the overall Predator health is far, far too low to compete against the damage numbers of the FT weapons.

So yes, it is imbalanced, and Illfonic is shit. They have admitted they balanced it in potato FT’s favor, and they do not play Pred so of course they have no clue about any of this, and they’ve chosen to ignore the evidence and suggestions towards fixing it.

Tl;dr: the game sucks, Illfonic sucks and we should play better games.

The skill ceiling for FT is just being able to hit the pred for 5 seconds solo

The skill ceiling for pred is being stuck in an animation while people 360 no scope your mask off with their infinitely more responsive controls while pred cant even swap midair & his travel time projectiles collide with random geometry and get stuck in lampposts.
Without even talking damage numbers, preds lacking so much basic QoL because illfonic doesnt even play it.
