Second wind needs to be made available while being able to climb trees as well and not just run, specifically because of this reason “the chase”.
Beginning second wind already completely immobilizes you so it’s easy for them to chase you down and slaughter you. You should be able to climb trees even when trying to use second wind. Put him in the trees with a cloak or no cloak. Either way being up high is an advantage to “the chase” since ft can’t climb trees

Your hp hit zero, you overcomitted or got caught by surprise. The goal should be no second wind at all. Its just a potential second chance if the FT doesn’t push you. You’re not entitled to a 2nd wind the same way they’re not entitled to reinforcements. They already gave 2nd wind a leap, its fine now.
White christmas tree glowing outline might be a bit much, if they ever wanted to dim it down a bit though.
