So after the chest bursters come out is it then ok to kill the populace of that planet, how do they reproduce if everyone one is gone? I’m just curious because I only watch 1 alien movie and all the other ones that came out like Prometheus and Romulus I thought were going to explain the aliens but I’m more confused then ever…
Xenomorphs
lol oh good so even they don’t know lol 😂
It will probably hibernat. If it can survive space for so long it will probably just cocoon itself until something better comes along. A single xeno probably has no purpose.
If someone plants a 3 dozen for the sake of killing planets then it has more purpose.
Ya I just remembered how they use their own goo to to hibernate it’s so weird like I always wondered how they go from world to world but I know I could just buy books about it but I’m not totally invested yet
Depends what their goal is. Humans or any other species like that would be xeno’s only competition so maybe once they win that battle, they will, just like humans, control other life on a planet such as earth. But they can also eradicate most of other life on the planet of total victory is the goal.
It’s still unknown how susceptible they would be to certain bacteria or viruses. Or even if there is war on earth, of humans can develop a vaccine of sorts to quickly home in one the facehugger implanted embryo and destroy it before it can grow. So maybe total destruction of the environment is a goal for them.
Man if feels like a mystery I’ll never solve 🤷♂️
Its a tough organism to judge. Like in Hadley’s Hope, the eggs were perfectly content just waiting there and waiting fie the host organism to come, even before terraforming started. They were not there by choice tho, so they make the best of what they have.
But it’s interesting what the queen was thinking when she left the planet and eggs, other xeno’s. Somehow she knew the reactor was going to explode? Or was it revenge on Ripley? Or maybe it was a bad tactical position once humans arrived with proper tools to fight?
We may never know 🤷♂️
the hive was under attack, her eggs had been destroyed. honestly it was probably tactical and personal when the queen decided to pursue ripley.
Maybe. I dont remember that well if all xeno’s were killed and if all eggs were set on fire. Many for sure, but maybe not all.
It was an interesting risk the queen took. Could have let Ripley go and temporarily saved the eggs (reactor explosion was imminent anyway). There definitely was enough of initial intelligence to to stop the xeno guards and self from attacking Ripley, but then one of the eggs hatched and triggered Ripley. Queen probably had no control over that; survival/reproduction instincts of eggs/facefacker.
Wait what were we talking about again?
About xeno’s life goals
the xenomorph’s only real goal in life is reproduce. they’re quite literally insects, except larger and scarier.
a typical insects life goes as follows: born, mature, make babies, die. however, we know from AVP 1 that queen xenomorphs can actually live for thousands of years.
the only real reason that xenos are hostile is because they see humans or other organisms as either a threat to the hive or a vessel for a new xenomorph.
if hadleys hope had been completely locked down in the beginning and there was no marine intervention (like the cerberus protocol from dark descent) then the xeno hive either would have lived happily ever after without bothering anyone on the outside, or they would have found an escape route to further expand the hive. (this is under the circumstance that the hadleys hope reactor did not explode)
Fair, thats pretty much true of every organism, tho more complex in humans as they pretty much reproduce without control, while other organisms are more limited by geography and resources.
So from what I learned
