Haha if you think so. But name me another game that’s based off a movie that not only had the help of the developers, but also made such a game that pin points the essentials in a free world (limited maps, for now) &environment?
The only one that comes to my mind is AVP on pc around 2003 and they really tried to make the authentic sounds and intro work.
What’s missing? A different mode like when they had another mission other than doing the recon and leaving?
There was a Iron Man and Captain America game along with The Spider Man games that had a movie tie in. Granted some of these games are Mediocre at best. Except for Spider Man 2.
Granted Spider Man had some free roam but the Captain Game was ok and had a limited map area.
While I do appreciate the effort the Devs have put into the game to say that this game is great or only for “true” predator fans is just flat out ridiculous. This game is desperately in need of actual content, major bug fixes, matchmaking that doesn’t take more than 10-20 minutes to find a single match. It’s okay to give them fair criticism but to blindly hate them or suck them off does no one any favors. I have hope for the future of this game but their lack of communication or content chips away at that hope.
Tell me how can either team be stealthy, with either a time limit or hound Ai’s. Most of us expected a stealth PvP game but nope lol.

Resident Evil is best as a story based game IMO

I really enjoyed the first few but they evolved in such a strange way story wise. They’re definitely near the top quality wise.
I’m not sure which story games my favourite, I have a very short attention span and get bored with most modern story games. It doesn’t help I want to rewrite them as badly as Lazy wants to rewrite Predator.
I’m pretty happy following the Asym/horror/multiplayer genre for now. I do intend to go back to RE-Resistance at some point when they stabilize their rules and rebalance it. Bundling it was the smartest move they could have pulled, saves them from some of the impatience.
It’s just because it’s a Japanese game. Infused with a lot of anime inspiration. I personally own every numbered installment and it’s one of my favorite franchises.

Ok, here’s how I look at this and all modern gaming (and this comes from a guy who cut his gaming teeth on atari 2600 and Colecovision)…
This is a good game. Not great (yet. The potential still exists). I have played great games for decades. I have played sharty games for decades and I have played good games for decades. Games have ALWAYS had bugs in them. Now is the time in gaming where a developer can and will fix them. It takes time. Patience is still a virtue. I remember playing (insert game) on NES and it freezing up on me. There was no recourse for us at all back then. Rampant slowdown on PS1 and N64, the whole deal. Then we get to the Ps3/360 age and we pay for Elders rolls 4, 5, Fallout 3, New Vegas, Farley, Assassins creed, Red dead 1, all the big ones. Riddled, just riddled with bugs and crap. And many do get fixed. Some (looking at Red dead: Undead nightmare.) Never get fixed and the developers do nothing. Ive seen this company fix and patch many bugs monthly. Thats more than Bethesda/ID does on their newest Doom title. Same with Ubisoft. The last 2 Ghost Recon games needed a lot of TLC after the launch. They got it, and they are now great games. And I assume Illfonic to be a smaller company than Ubisoft, so its gonna take them some time to iron out all the kinks. Im not gonna stop playing because this is one of the best Predator games around. I feel like I got my moneys worth and I know more content is on the way. Doom eternal launched BEFORE Phg did and still hasn’t gotten its first dlc and the battlemode is still pretty sketchy, but Im not gonna quit that either because I know it’ll be worth it. One last point, the atmosphere here (and to be fair, on the ubisoft and bethesda forums too) is ridiculous. I won’t name names, but some people here are just unreal with the profanity and stuff toward the developers, demanding stuff and demeaning other players in really uncool ways. Joking a little is one thing, but I find it very disappointing. We’re all just people playing a game, trying to have a good time. All the Doug and Debbie Downers here need to take a breather, realize its just a game and be a little nicer. Thats all. Thank you, Illfonic for your efforts, I look forward to what’s next in Phg.

Great point. Maybe I’m alone at feeling the love for this game at it’s base mark. Even before all the fixes.

This game is not a masterpiece. It has a massive lack of content. The city hunter is insanely buggy. Que times are awful.
I don’t think its Illfonics fault. In fact (not having experienced it first hand but based on word of mouth) I think its doing better than DBD was at this point in its life cycle.
But its not a masterpiece. It still needs work.
Play a little longer kid, you’ll figure out why everyone else got pissed at one point.

After playing fireteam just to do the daily I wanted to play some Predator, as it has been awhile since I have properly played this game… stuck on connecting at 11-12min both times, sat half hour for nothing, realised I dont want to sit another 10min just to get stuck on connecting again, get into half empty lobby, or encounter game breaking bug after game breaking bug in the 1 match I would get for that day and just closed application. Even when you want to play the game its just so much of a waste of time, hours can go by and u got 1 decent match.

How much money? Cause I’ll take that bet.
Course it’s a sure thing from my end because I’d still be here. Unlike some people I like illfonic’s games and I’m a fan of the genre of game, not just Predator. (I do like Predator though, so bonus points)
Considering this game replaced Hunt: Showdown and RE-R in my play rotation, I can comfortably say, the game play is more in line with how I want to play games, so I’d be here.
I’m even a little disappointed that any FT v FT modes will have to wait on Predator to happen.
