Yautja mission brief?

The fireteam get a briefing with a dossier on their mission. So why doesn’t the yautja have one? You don’t have understand The language the yautja to have a translation or mission perimeters per say but something other than a stagnant red tinge and red accent scream would be nice 👍 @Courier @OldKingHamlet @IllFonic

I don’t think it’s really needed since I can’t say I’ve ever seen a Predator not know what to do in a match. The mission briefing is needed for FT so they know where to spawn in as well as get an idea of what class to pick and where to go.

Predator doesn’t really need that since it drops in knowing it has to simply kill the FT. You could get it with side-missions the Predator could complete to hinder FT or get more XP. Like perhaps the “brief” could be a trial to kill an enemy with a certain kind of weapon? Or alternatively its a Predator giving tactical advice to do something on the map that will slow down FT like making a certain objective go longer or doing something that will spawn more enemies for you and FT. It’s possible for side-objectives but I do see it needed for the current iteration.

They’re not on a mission. They’re on safari. It’s not an organized planetary invasion. And doing the google translate stuff kills the mystery of predator. Why do they need a Zeus telling them specifically to go kill people?

I think AvP (2010) did this really well. It showed that a Predator who had an objective would actually be relayed instructions and additional objectives just like a human team of soldiers would in the real world, of course by an Leader of their clan and what not.

I don’t exactly agree that it would kill the mystery for their to be Predator themed Objective details to kill FT or even other things in the future, because it’s all gonna boil down to “Do this. Kill FT”. I mean, in Warhammer 40k, Halo, and others, we practically know the ins and outs of countless Alien species in the settings, but people still like em even if the Protoss or (Halo) Elites are basically discount Predators?

Some cool mini cinematics of the Predator putting on their armour, prepping their weapons and stuff would be cool during that 30sec countdown.

Maybe because the Fireteam are being sent into the jungle by someone to do a job, the Predator on the other hand goes there alone to hunt, nobody sent the Predator, there should be no briefing then.

I already conceded. He friend was right I was wrong. He basically said the same thing finesse stated. Hence the Jesus Christ because the thread is there showing I conceded. Not to mention this forum is not known for good faith. Just saying

Not a bad idea. As an alternative they could have a similar intro as used in the OG film - spacecraft zooming into view then the pod shooting off to the surface of the Earth.

Of course neither of these things is ever going to happen now.
