Hello everyone, I was hoping I could get your help with something. I’d like to make, a master list of every piece of Predator tech in human hands. There are things like the 3 masks shown in The Predators, that I’m sure one of you can name the Pred they are from by sight alone and I’d greatly appreciate your help in making this list complete.

Hopefully we can get a complete list, any pictures or theories you can add would be appreciated as well.

The List

Predator 2 - Dart

AVPR - Yutani gains possession of a Plasma Caster.

The Predators - Skull Shield, Tail Spear, 3 masks.

Predator 2 :
Combistick - fell of the building, found by Dutch
Ghost’s mask - left in slaughter house
Half of wrist computer - fell of the building with half of hand still in it
Shoulder cannon - Ghost removed it in slaughter house

Avp - Lex’s spear… not really Pred tech tbh…

Yes the Dart in P2 was really cool. Looks harmless though so i think there should be an electro shock or a incapaciting chemical delivery

Did they ever get one of those shuriken in AVP? He had a bunch on his belt pretty sure more than 2. He threw one and missed when he was trying to hit the guy that was about be crushed by wall. It reminded me of the boomerang how it comes back and I still look at it as the boomerang.

Actually, that would be a really cool way to revisit that Antarctic map, as a Weyland Industries Excavation in partnership with the OWLF. Weyland provides equipment and OWLF provides the workers.

Be awesome if there was a facility doing research there. Something like the station from The Thing.

We’ll from what I’ve heard from people who’ve read the prequel novel Hunters and Haunted
Weyland Corp and Stargazer apparently do business with each other
And with how shady Weyland Corp is they would probably work with Stargazer again

The companies aren’t specified in that novel, if I recall correctly. They’re just shady corporate interests. I think it likely Weyland has a finger on the STGZ pie but see STGZ doing far more business with Yutani and Private third parties, both independent businessmen and even foreign governments.

I think Weyland might be in the OWLF’s court because it’s far easier to profit from a Gov organization that needs you’re resources and talent. Who are aware of where your breakthroughs are coming from. At the same time Weyland Industries is probably trying to acquire things from STGZ as well, both to delay the competition and gain an edge.

This is where I would go anyway, it gives you the most opportunity for exposition.

I don’t think OWLF would give away their discoveries and tech that easily, whereas STGZ is selling their stuff like crazy

See, this is the problem with trying to compile a comprehensive, canonical list for a franchise as fragmented and under-valued by its rights holders as Predator is - you end up having to try and justify shit like below. If you take all the films at their word, humans have pretty much all of the Preds futuristic tech, and should have been able to advance society (or at least the military) leaps and bounds by introducing Plasma weapons, invisibility cloaks, and ridiculous armour suits that fold away into a wrist band, thus rendering any future movies pointless as Preds would be no more advanced than us.

Thankfully ‘Pred tech retrieval’ from past movies (for the most part) tends to get ignored each time a new film comes along. So yeah, file this thread as yet another redundant discussion.

I don’t think OWLF is giving it away, more like they’d need those resources to do things like excavate the temple site in the Antarctic. I don’t think they’d get the funding to reverse engineer it either, like set up their own Skunk works in Weyland.

100% Someone already pointed out that stargazer’s troopps in game badge is almost identical to the colonial marines corps

All preds from Lost Tribe have two names (its to do with Neca and Hot Toys dick-weaving at each other and trying to be more cool) so Ghost is the name this pred was referred to as by Neca in the old days, if I remember correctly this name originated from the cemetery scene.

Technically, they already did, in the game, Predator Concrete Jungle, which explains the reason why Humanity advanced as much as it did, fitting in with the AvP Storyline as well. Obviously, this doesn’t exactly fit in with the new story developing with the aftermath of “The Predator”, Hunters, and Hunting Grounds/Stalking Shadows that well. It’s still possible to integrate it, just place in Borgia Industries somewhere and you’re Golden.

However, if you want to talk specifically about movies and ignoring everything else? The Predator is pretty much the only movie where you get to see amassed Predator Technology in large quantities, and in human possession. Before? Oh, there’s actually not that much at all, barely anything left to salvage and learn anything else than “oh, this is how this kills things”, much less reverse engineer.
