I was told feedback was better for this kind of thing. I do think that @OldKingHamlet should see what he can respond to regarding my first two points, the rest are more cool ideas and wishful thinking. These are in no particular order of significance, just numbered for ease of reference.
1: Bring Back Fools Gold. You gave us Shifty Business so it can’t be the mission contents. I’m wondering if it got bugged in an update or something, but I’m bugged that there aren’t twelve available missions on each map.
2: Let us select the mission in Private. I get why you keep it random in public, but I want to show off some missions to people who don’t play, and Zeus is great, and more people need to hear him try and read out of a manual.
3: Do something, anything, with the predator trophies. RNG has it out for me, and the only reason I have the ones I got is because I make sure I cram the daily into my busy schedule. I don’t have time for much more than that a day. I just want to buy them straight. Because as soon as I get everything from those lockers, I’m never buying another one, and will just save up to purchase everything else directly, because I will have everything in this game, mark my words. Oh, and also add the new stuff you released into the lockers as well. I haven’t gotten a new weapon skin since the Viper, and my Katana and Alpha never unlocked anything.
4: More AI types. Not going crazy, but I think that every time you release a new weapon for the FT, you make an AI that uses it. Just a little more diversity in what I’m faced with, a little more challenge, and to confuse the pred at least a little bit. The pred know automatically when someone is using the pistols or Pitbull that they are FT. By giving these guns to the AI, it will have them second guess, having to watch for AI or FT movement patterns. Just a little thought as I’m running through the new missions getting swamped by the AI.
5: Weapon lockers. I forgot there actual term, but its the in field weapon swap. I like that they have random attachments now, but I have noticed that there are a few weapons missing. Any of the later releases are not in there, along with the basic pistol and minigun. Yeah, I get no one really wants the basic pistol, but sometimes you just need a pistol for a bit. And I get why no to the minigun, but still, its a weapon the FT (And hopefully AI in the future, [See point 4]) can use, so I don’t see why it can’t pop up. I mean, there are currently 25 weapons, so its not going to happen often. I was thinking that you can use the unlock level as a way to randomize. Like things that unlock at a higher level are less likely to be inside a field chest, and the same goes for attachments.
6: Gender locked customization. I was fine with the Jungle hunter and Elder not being female, (Elder a little less because you could have just made an elder class and not base it off P2) but now you can fully customize them, so they are no longer just the canon character. There are what, 8 pred classes, and only three can be female. Not to mention that the Alpha and Elder predlocks are still locked to females. It be just a side project for your modelers, so they can keep working on new and fresh content, but still, give us equality eventually. This also goes for the FT. That spartan Helmet would look good on my male support, but as its currently gender locked, he can’t wear it. I’m just asking for a Body 2 on the preds and all cosmetics available to all. And with the introduction of the male OWLF, well, that too.
7: Body 3 for classes. Now, let me explain; Each Dutch and Dante has different stats from the rest of the FT classes. How about you make classes with their exact stats. Veteran, Mercenary, and Demolitions expert. (2025, 1987, and Dante). And have Body 1 be male and 2 be female. And 3 be Dutch/Dante. That way we can have a personal character using those stats, but not be forced to be one of 4 Dutchs on a team. You can still keep the class locked behind the DLC paywall, but we did pay for it, and I want to get some more use out of it, but I want to make my own, personalize (now expanded, Lots of Love for that.) Fireteam Voodoo and Yautja Clan. This also works for Pred stuff as well. Since Jungle and now City have Hunter Stats, why not clean up the class pool and just have them be Body 3 and 4.
8: Class locked customization. Now that you have Elder, Jungle, and City with their own skin pattern, why not give that to the rest of the classes. I just want full creative control over what my predators look like. There is a minor itch to have the Samurai armour patterns on other classes and biomasks, and vice versa, but its not that strong and I understand why not, as they are highly (and strangely) Japanese, but it floats around. I think the only thing I’m fine being locked is the Alpha. Yeah, the biomask, armour, and sickle are made of insects, so it wouldn’t really work, and the Alpha skin is meant to be a primordial predator, but since you moves the predlocks to other (Male) classes, why not move the skin as well, to keep them matched, or remove the alpha predlocks from the other classes, because its bugging me that they don’t match.
9: Remove frag grenades from AI. Leave it so that only the FT has access to the gear, something a pred with a keen eye can take note of. But because of point 4, the AI will still have grenades. The GL and the two Underslung GL ARs. So you won’t be losing explosions, just limiting them to certain AI and leaving the throwing animation to the FT. Little touches like that.
10: Put the attachments in the lobby. Just little icons on the side of the weapon icon, letting everyone know what you’re planning on using. Will someone have no silencers? How strong is their scope? These affect gameplay, and I should be able to see what my randos are bringing.
11: Knives misplacement. Now this isn’t even close to big, but until the knives have different stats, I’d move them to the appearance menu, since they have no mechanical differences. Keep one side for mechanics and the other for cosmetics.
12: Link accounts to play. This isn’t a big one for me, but when you link accounts, you should be able to play on either machine. And you should keep your stuff, since its all online and connected to your account.
13: Deluxe DLC. Simple. It costs $20 more than the base game, so just release it for $20 so people who didn’t want to lose out on the pre order can have it. Hell, if you combine it with point 12, you’ll get people who will buy both to have everything.
14: More Styles. Be it like Concrete Jungle, with bone and high tech varients to pred weapons, or different armour/outfit patterns to put the shaders on, I see a lack of variety. Just look at AVP Extinction, or AVP2. These different predator classes and their diverse armour. You can even make shirtless Dutch and other FT classes. I’m sure you professionals can come up with alternatives if you don’t want to shamelessly rip off of older games, but come on, give us something.
15: More Pred stuff. The classes are nice and all that, and the fun melee weapons are a bonus, but we are lacking in the ranged weapon department. And the gear department. Spear guns for ranged bleed, sonic mines that just proc everything, etc. Just more stuff for more opportunities to diversify.
16: General Pred changes. Things like making the smart disc indestructible. One of the two weapon slots shouldn’t be removed. Make the netgun a gear. It has a limited ammo supply, and isn’t really a weapon, just like the PDL shouldn’t be a weapon. Tweak the Netgun. I’m thinking like double everything about it, but if the pred attacks a netted FT, the FT takes half damage and the net breaks.
17: Skill based matchmaking. “Good Sport” Leaderboards (illfonic.com) I make this thread for a way to get people engaged in the spirit of the game. If you read, of course it became a cesspool, but in the end, it did dawn on me that something like this being the matchmaking would solve problems. First, it gives players a goal to strive for, something beyond XP and VT. Secondly, it teaches newer players the game’s mechanics. And thirdly, it will put people with similar mindsets together, allowing you to more fine tune the balance. If you don’t read, the summary is; FT gets more points for doing the objective and staying in the mission area. You lose points for chasing the predator all over the map, or camping and sniping rather than playing the missions you made. Pred gets points for attack with the wristblades and shoulder caster, as well as letting your second wind recharge. You lose points by getting the AI to attack for you and attacking FT who can’t fight back. Basically you gain points by playing closer to the first movie and lose points by doing things that require no skill to do.
18: Give us a heads up on the updates. I’m fine with being tight lipped about what’s inside the update. People get hyped and imagine things you aren’t doing and then complain when their fantasies aren’t reality. But even a couple days notice is nice because the day before is when I like to play Pred because the queues shoot up when the update comes out, and peters off as time goes on. I missed out on it this time.
19: Post Game Summary. This is two parts. One, leave the people who left the game there. I want to see how well they did, regardless of them staying or not. Second, show their loadouts. Whether it be a hover over thing, or just as small icons, its good to see what your opponents are running. Helps with coming up with loadouts of your own, or figuring out how they did something.
