you cant acquire the tapes even if you kill the pred

if you manage to find a tape and pick it up you can only get it into your inventory if you extract
even if you kill the pred its a no go
please fix it

Me and my usual teammate have both got the tapes even when we stayed to secure the Predator body. It doesn’t give you the notification icon in the unlocks at the end of the game like usual, but check your Extras and you’ll notice it has still been awarded.

You have to successfully deactivate the self destruct for it to count in that situation because a self destruct is still a Predator win as such.
You need to either successfully exfil with the tape in the chopper, or secure the body for OWLF. Everything else is considered victory for the Predator, so that’s why it didn’t happen in that instance.
If you really want those tapes, I’d suggest doing solo private matches as Fireteam. Theres also a better chance of the tape spawning. You still have to complete the mission but you don’t have the Predator to worry about. If you use Scout class, on Derailed map with Double Time perk you’ll speed through the mission and have time to grab all the VT too. Derailed is the best map because of its layout and proximity to each objectives. That’s how I grind my VT and how I finished my collection.

The only way to get tapes as FT is to escape on the choppa. Pred will get a tape if he will stay alive

If you down the Predator and secure the body, stay alive until OWLF arrive then you also keep the tape that way.
