Basically assassin’s creed Valhalla is an MMO RPG fantasy game about a Viking who sailed to England with his stepbrother who of which is now his clan leader ( of which the clan’s name is the raven clan ) there a goal here is to conquer England. Through playing the game you will create allies, build your own settlement, collect gear and take over castles. Even though all of this you still have a hard time playing, I will be giving tips for newcomers and maybe some entertainment to some of the OG players out there. The first step to becoming the absolute beast of a Viking is combat, one of the main fundamentals of the game is combat. Mixing light and heavy attacks will add up to some big damage, doing this on bigger enemies and adding in your abilities will melt enemies’ health bars and stamina. I suggest using double spears as the range and speed will be great for not getting hit and doing some big damage. Spears I recommend are Odin’s spear and ragneir’s fang. This combo is great as you have a big range difference with Odin’s spear as the ability of this weapon is it enlarges when attacking that paired with pretty high damage attack on its own makes it a deadly weapon, this paired with fagneir’s fang is great as it’s weapon bonus is when surrounded by 3 or more enemies you gain an enhanced chanced of critical hits. The best way for this weapon to have its way is to add at least a ruin that adds to your critical hit damage and just overall attack. Stealth is a whole other world as you have to think and execute your actions in a fast secession. The best ways to start your attacks in stealth are from the top of a roof, a high wall to a castle or in bushes, and in tall grass. The best attacks with bows are on top of roofs and on the high walls as your bow abilities are easily accessible and if you mess up you can easily roam until you find a better more tactical spot. For bushes and tall grass you need to use the whistle mechanic, this allows you to pull the enemies into the bush or where ever you are to your location this mechanic also goes best around walls and crates. This is also good with the harpoon ability as you pull enemies into the bush or toward you depending on what level of the ability you can either assassinate them after pulling them or you can use the fully leveled version of which you do a cool animation to kill them instantly ( if you were wondering, no this can not alert enemies to your location ). If I do suggest the best bow ability is gonna be the focus of nolnir or mark of the death, the mark of the death is good for clearing a good group of people up then taking out the rest with easy assassinations. Getting caught you can use the focus of nolnir to get easy bow shots to the head. There is not much gear or ruins that help much with stealth so I just suggest what bows or armor and weapons you’re comfortable with. Of course, you don’t have to use the spears I suggested as well as it’s all preference to whatever you like the most as each and every weapon is unique and powerful. If you just have a favorite weapon type then I suggest getting the greatest weapon in the class. Happy raiding friends and merry christmas.
Your guide to assassin's creed valhalla for no reason
If you guys for some weird reason want some exploration tips I have a few but not many. I just suggest looking at some guides for getting something or getting somewhere. There will always be a guide on something so it’s just a search away.
wall?
what do you mean “wall”
I actually just downloaded it last night cause of the new Kassandra story!!
Oh that’s great to hear, I hope you have a excellent time playing through the game.
If you mean the castle walls I mean the ones that surround the castle and most of the archers are posted there. i just mean there easy to move around and good for sniping.
wall of text.
Anyways, the game is great for the first good portion of it, but feels longer than it should be.
I felt it was very stretched out but the gameplay is very fun, even though most of its combat was basically just copy and paste from some other games the stealth was okay. It would be better if there wasn’t instant detection, other than that the bosses and getting the gear was fun.
There are just so many things they put in…like find all of the runes/masks and such…then you have the boy who asks you to assissinate people in exchange for them. It gets lengthy that way especially when it derails your entire play time and keeps you off the main path.
And then there are these celebrations that take up yet another sitting. Its like you can’t get nothing done!
Dont get me wrong, but the game is utterly beautiful which generates a nestalgic feeling each time you play it.
The main reason they put in all this stuff is that so many people complained about odyssey being too easy and not having enough content. That way they put a bunch of stuff they put into Valhalla just to make people happy but even then people still got mad. The other purpose is because the bosses are still very hard even on normal fighting so they make you do side content to get better gear and stuff as well as better abilities just so you can barely beat the bosses, like the first fight with fenir he did a lot of damage so I had to get an entire OP build just to beat him. But the gameplay is so refreshing and addicting.
