What did you guys think about Preators film in 2010 ? I’ve heard people saying it’s a trash but I really liked it.

I remember walking put of the cinema thinking it was awesome, but when I bought the bluray and watched it again it i thought it was just a shittier version of the original. So I dunno. I’m kind of torn. Heaps better than AVP though.

I remember the community just up and died for a bit after it came out. Lot of hype and then nothing came of it. I would contribute the 8 year gap for that but the movie and franchise disappeared for a bit if you weren’t reading comics or weren’t looking into the videogame cameos. I don’t know what the hell happened.
The Predator has staying power in the public conscience by comparison. It was weird.
I remember enjoying it and really would like more done with the super predators because they haven’t done anything in recent years outside some Neca lore and a cameo on an Archie Versus Predator comic cover.

It was an enjoyable film however I don’t like how the entire soundtrack to the original was used (that track belongs with the original ONLY) and I don’t like how the end fight scene mirrored Dutch’s fight against the original Jungle Hunter.
Far too much fan service in that film…

Wait, wait…this triggered the musician in me. You mean the main theme from Predator? The same used in Pred 2 and PHG? Because that’s, like I said, the main theme for Predator. Its ok to use it for anything Pred-related because that’s the theme. Same as, say, Back to the Future (same composer btw) using the heroic theme for all three movies, the ride, and the game. Or the various Jurassic Park motifs used throughout the franchise.
The rest I can sympathize with lol.

Cool concept, average execution.
Supers are the typical jurassic park BIGGER BADDER STRONGER issue but they grew on me
More watchable than the avps for sure, not that a paul ws anderson film is a high bar.
honestly its more of a guys in a jungle type rehash with a couple really good ideas sprinkled in. They could’ve taken it a bit farther.
I think everythings always going to come down to fire + mud because its Predator. lest you get fights ontop of a spaceship vs bulletproof preds.

The main theme I’m good with, however the ENTIRE soundtrack was used. Nothing original.
I haven’t seen it in quite some time, I’ll have to again soon. But yeah, if they just copy/pasted the whole score, even if its rearranged or whatever, then that’s just lazy lol
Yeah you definitely gotta check it out again. It’s a legit copy and paste.
Don’t get me wrong, I absolutely LOVE the original score! But seeing the entire score overlaid into the film as fan service/ laziness really bugs me.
I enjoy watching it still, mainly bc of how good the supers look.
That being said if this new movie blows I at least hope the predators bio helmet looks solid

I liked it. Definitely has flaws and would have liked to see the war between “clean” and “roided” predators expanded upon.
I’m just terribly sad that it was followed up by “The Predator.” 😔

Im biased asf and like all the predator movies, to an extent and The predator is a good film to watch if im customizing or painting… its a really shitty take on the lore though and id forgive the big boy predator more if we had more Practical effects and not just CGI.

Not bad but fails to meet the first two
Too much forced comedy-quirkiness influenced by the Marvel boom, no room for any actual tension.
Plus… autism, predkiller armor, global warming, giant predator… nah.
