This is mind blowing
I never remembered the OG plasmacaster he ware before being upgraded in the game.
Originally Scarface resembled Jungle Hunter even possessing a JH shoulder cannon. It was changed to reflect the aesthetic of AvP which released a year prior. Weapons and upgrades to those weapons would be reflective of AvP since they wanted to pimp the newest film.
Scar and Scarface as a result carry the same gun in the final game with the only difference being that Scarface actually uses the laser mounted on the gun.
It doesn’t really prove anything since they carry the same stuff and could carry the same weapons provided the player found the right weapons.

I definitely see what you mean, but Scar’s Plasmacaster has a whole backpack. Scarface’s starting Plasma Caster doesn’t.
I dunno if there’s any model of a Default Pred’s Caster or say Elder’s running around that we can see and compare. Because from what I see, the “Scar” Caster model matches Scarface and Scar had a backpack in the 2004 Movie.
Scarface has a backpack. He doesn’t have it or the plasmacaster in the 1930 levels.
Looks like a name.

As much as I would love to have Scarface in a modern game, that’s not his caster. Furthermore, I don’t want his legend to be disgraced and tarnished by Fireteam: Hunting Grounds. There isn’t a goddamn team on this game nor will there ever be that could give him a run for his money

I actually wouldn’t say it would be tarnished. It would mean Concrete Jungle’s Canon.
This is the in-game rendering of the caster. I suppose… If they modernize the graphics for it… We might be looking at this caster.

They’re the same “barrel” type. The difference is in how the the Caster’s “arm” is operated instead.
I did a little digging and found this. This looks like the gif of Scar’s caster, most similar I could find. The only things missing on the skeletal model is the laser pointer attachment and the part jutting out on top of the bore

I see fucking Scarface’s caster. That is NOT the Hunter caster, more like JH’s but it looks slightly different. Maybe Elder’s, but Elder’s has a tri-dot attachment on the left side.
And the mask. That’s the default mask but what’s with the chrome mouthpiece?
Edit: Ok, maybe not Scarface’s caster. Definitely different tho
