What’s wrong with parrying?

Are we getting lobby fixes? I’m sitting here as a lone pred with no FT joining an open game for 20-30 minutes easy

Yes , the first patch fixed the matchmaking half way and there s a new patch coming pretty soon. If you are alone in a lobby, or the lobby isn’t full, don’t waste time , exit and search for a new one. It’s faster and enter a full lobby. It’s a bug with the matchmaking , that’s why sometimes it doesn’t find a game or just an empty lobby. If the timer goes for too long just cancel and start a new search, this might fix your matchmaking.
This worked for me and for others.

People find parrying non realistic (even tho there’s a scene in a Predator movie where a Samurai fights a Predator hand to hand and parries him, and this game is based on the movies so… especially the 87’ one) and it’s easily spammable on PC , much harder on console when the Predator keeps moving around. I don’t find it an issue because you can use other options to kill your enemies as the Predator, but most use melee often, such as combistick, wrist blades, war club and so on. Some of them want it removed, some want it fixed, some don’t mind it because they win by using different options.
But still, REALISTICALLY speaking, parrying a Predator is impossible, but as I said, this game is based on the movies.

Parrying is just the redirection of an attack. I don’t believe it’s impossible. Sure they’re stronger, but they’re not immovable.
I think people need to learn how to play against it rather than bitch about it. Doing the same thing and expecting different results is what stupid people do.

As for the match making, it’s a pain to cancel or move out of a lobby after 15 mins, They need to sort this shit out because it’s been there ever since beta

That is the only way predator has a chance of winning so people will use it

To be honest with you, I have seen Scouts wreaking havoc and destroying us, sometimes Hunters. But this happens when they know how to use their gadgets properly. But most of the time its the berserker, and me and my team are used to the zerker+combistick combo, so it’s no longer a gigantic threat.
This is why parry became a “thing”. FT got used to the melee things because it is being used all the time.
Again, to be fair, me and my team are struggling sometimes against bow users and trappers.
BECAUSE they are using things that aren’t melee based. And they use melee when they are sneaking or when there’s 1 left. But most of the time they kill us with the plasma cannon or bow. And if we are camping a building we can’t complete the mission, so it’s not a problem for the Predator because FT players are “forced” to not camp, otherwise the exp is really low. But still, if the building is really small, a pred can just go nuts and kill everyone because of the small space, if its a big building the scout can literally poke us with the cannon from a distance, or throw a disc.

For have play this game every days since it release, i love this, but i thinks you need make some little change like, add special perk for each class.
Exemple: a scout predator can have a traking sistem for the plasma canon that take a weapons slot or some perk that make his walk more silent.

I thinks FT no need the Spot fonction wallhack, if they can just place an eyes marker, it should be enought.
Another thinks is that 3 slot for perk is not enought, (Scout have 15 point to spent) but you never use it)
With that little change, the game should be better and more balence

One other thinks, The smart disk in the movie cut a man in half, in the game we dont have this feeling.
As a FT member, i want to feal the fear whene i ear this sound/

As a recon or scout i’m literally praying for someone to drop a health kit or to find a first aid kit nearby after getting hit by the disc… otherwise I’m pretty much a walking dead man. Support is ok-ish after getting hit by the disc, but the assault class is in a bit of trouble too, but not as much as a recon or scout.

I hate when that happens, or when you fall from a tree and it says you’re still in the tree, even though you’re on the ground. You can’t attack so you have to double tap the fall button to fix it.

Sugestion of perk for predator:
Silent Walker (scout) cost 5: reduce footstep sound
Silent Hunter (scout and hunter) cost 5: whene predator is cloaking, it dosnt make sound with his mouth
Tracking system (Scout / hunter / berserker) cost 6: Targeting laser fallowing heat source on thermal view.
Smart Disk hunter (Scout/hunter/berserker) cost 4: Smart disk have better range and speed
Other sugestion: new predator tunt using the creapy predator voice like in the movie ( Wants some Candy) or (com here) .

Probably between 100-125. Also got a mythical item within those parameters too.

Thank you for making such a fun and worthy successor to the AVP games that really captures the essence of the first film.

It’s so good I bought 2x extra copies for my friends, so much potential in this just ignore the haters and keep on tweaking and optimising.

The problem with the combistick is out does just as much dps as the sword and club, yet also has a long reach and extremely wide auto lock. It is better in group and one on one senarios. On a berserker it simply exacerbates the problem.

Every issue you presented is very easily remedied by skilled sniper on your FT,

I’m on ps4 so I’m talking from a ps4 perspective? I hope you understand… But still, this is an asymmetric game, there’s advantages and disadvantages for everything. But I agree that there must be Balance rework or fixes.

I’m also on ps4, I am the 7EN recon player on my FTs, every issue you described against a ranged predator is countered by a decent 7EN or SAWZ sniper, they cant stand till to take their shots or they lose their mask and most of their HP, having one FT member who is just overwatch and pred spotting means you wont get surprised by the pred, once hes found the sniper can EZ keep him moving instead of attacking

One of the biggest issues that I know the game has, is it’s way too rushed.
For instance, how can a hunter let alone a supposedly skillful Yautja hunter take planned and methodical actions when a fire team can blitz through all objectives and call in a chopper in around 4 minutes.
A game of this nature doesn’t last remotely anywhere near as long as it should, especially when queue times can be anywhere from up to 16 minutes long only for each game to end almost as soon as the game starts.

Literally as soon as a game starts and you’re playing as predator, you HAVE to rush the entire time which gives no allowance to playing smart and taking time to hunt how any hunter would or should.

Each game needs to last like an average of 30 minutes.

Here’s an example: Theres a hunter, let’s say hunting a dangerous animal like a large bear. The hunter is not going to rush into the bear with a knife and hope for the best all in the name of preventing it from escaping in a chopper or spawning more bears. Odds are, the hunter is going to get wrecked and killed by the bear.
No, a hunter gets things situated and set up, stalks and gets to know their prey before taking methodical actions to take on the prey.

This game does not allow that. If you’re a predator, you have to take foolish actions I swear most of the time and get lit up when you could of avoided unnecessary damage and injuries which in turn waste supplies.

Game pace needs to be slowed down. A lot.
That is a must.
There is no tense suspense because of the speed of each game.
