A List of Changes to improve the game

Changes to the game overall

-Add additional loadout slots for both Fireteam and Predator

-Add additional gear and perk slots to both Predator and Fireteam to enable full use of gear/perk points. 4-6 total for each. Lower point cost perks should be able to be mix and matched in greater numbers, allowing for greater build variation.

-Add detailed numeric stats to Loadouts, weapons, gear and perks.


Changes to Predator

-Make Quick Claims cancellable/interruptable by enemy fire received: Quick claims are

-Change Second Wind to no longer apply wound cauterization allowing for blood trail tracking as per the source material, no longer apply flashbang effect or white outline and instead auto activate cloak, apply a 20% movement speed boost, disable leap, enable tree climb and run (no branch jumping)

-Make Smart disc non-destructible and remove visible trail when thrown, increase speed and range by 20%, make the disc able to be taken by Fireteam members after a short to medium length interaction of button mash like freeing oneself from a net. The Predator can retrieve the Smart Disc from that Fireteam member by putting them into a bleedout/downed/killed state and walking over/next to the body.

-Make the Netgun require a reload animation similar in length to a rocket launcher in other shooter games, reduce the number of nets from 15 to 12.

-Make the shoulder mounted PlasmaCaster full charge shot have a flashbang effect on hit of either Fireteam or AI in a 2 meter radius as well as on surface hits. Flashbang effect decreases if not a faceshot and the further from the shot a player/AI is standing, facing matters as with a flash grenade. If you are turned away the effect is minimized or negated entirely depending on pov angle in regards to plasma blast point.

-Remove flashbang effect from the Combistick throw

-Alpha sickle: Add bleed effect to the Alpha Sickle, add secondary attack with L2

-War Club: Increase attack speed of the Club by 20%, add secondary attack with L2

-Elder Sword: Add secondary attack with L2


Changes to Fireteam and AI

-Remove Pistols from Secondary and add an additional Slot named Sidearm including Pistols as options. In bleedout state auto equip Pistol and allow for firing, aiming and reloading.

-Add Claymore mine to the Fireteam gear options. Make downed pigs able to be booby-trapped with Claymores or Frag Grenades

-Make unclaimed dead Fireteam and AI bodies able to be booby trapped

-Make Ammo Bags explode on destruction by blasts from Plasma Caster, explosives or fire

-Remove Flesh Ripper and Body Armor perks and properly balance AI health, armor, damage output and spawn rates

-Make AI spawn from inaccessible buildings or drive up/fly in on vehicles, no more AI spawning out of thin air.

-Reduce Field Syrette weight from 4 to 3

-Fix the scope becoming offset/inaccurate on SAWZ-50 sniper rifle after each shot while remaining zoomed in

-Make carried medical kits identical to the ones found in the maps with 3 separate kit pouches in a case. Make carried Medical Kits replenishable via removing them from the map environment and adding to inventory for those who equip them.

-Make Noisemaker cause AI to become alarmed, set off camp alarms


Open to additional suggestions, please be respectful and be reasonable in regards to the game’s framework and design as well as the source material.

Ur quick claim, second wind, and net gun ideas r pretty silly, but other than that everything else seems fine

While I don’t agree with most of these, its clear you put a lot of thought into it and some of them aren’t bad:

-Noise Grenades having an effect on the AI (camp alarm though is excessive)
-Booby trapping pigs seems interesting… but not something I don’t already do with mud, foliage, and a rifle.
-Ammo bag explosion is interesting
-Bleedout pistol seems excessive. Ever been shot by the revolver?
—If pistols can’t be reloaded in a downed state this becomes more interesting.
-Merging some perks like Body Armor+Flesh Ripper, or Ascender+Branch Master, would be a quality of life improvement.
-Disc can probably afford to have a less visible trail
-Plasma flashbang effect is unnecessary.

Please elaborate how the changes I suggest for Quick Claim, Netgun and Second Wind are “silly”. They are changes that are well considered and based on input from many other players.

10 second reload time on netgun while reducing count by like 3? Just bring it down to 10 or less and buff the pins effect

Second wind doesnt work without the leap. Idk if you played at launch but scouts with doubletime can chase a sprinting pred and solo whats left of him with knife heavy attacks no problem. A 20% speed boost isnt going to help you with how small the maps are, and trees are slow and obvious. Cloak is equally obvious shimmering grey blob and its not hard to just sprint after the buckets of green goo on the rare chance you’d even lose the pred without him being able to leap

Permaflashbang on plasma weapons why

Putting bleed on a bunch of the melee weapons why

Making medkits and heals in general even stronger why

3 downed ft surrounded by claymores with pistols equipped why

Most of this is well thought out. I can’t say I agree with every change you have listed but quite a few are things I would like to try out.

I cant even lmao… i just knew it will keep getting worse… the only ever list that was ever good was @Lazycollinator one…

I mean no offense to you but damn son xD… its not like all preds lately hunt in fear… i feel like their ass cheeks are tight af whenever they go againts pc players… even cordinated ps4 players can take you down with current quick claim… and the only reason why i win these sht anxious games is cause i dont let them speedrun and just go for stupid ass quick claims…

SO IF YOU CAME DOWN THIS FAR I SUGGEST READING @Lazycollinator guide which is by far the best thought and worked on and not much attention put to it by devs since 1.06-1.09

No to the second wind changes.

No to the start disk being stolen ft.

Hell no to the net changes.
No less ammo. No long reload.

No to the flash effect from plasma. Sure it sounds cool, but trust me, that would be unfair.

No to the combi change.

Sure I guess to the sickle. But it also needs. Buff in damage. Its weak atm.

Same with club.

No. No extra stuff on the elder sword.bits good as it is. Things a pain in the ass to deal with.

No to the last stand/second chance idea.

I dont know how I feel about claymore tbh. Ft is already strong enough.

No to booby trapping bodies. Ft Is already strong enough.

No to bags exploding from damage.

A.i. just needs to be smarter, but is fine as it is.
A.i. just needs to spawn out of sight. That’s all.

No to reducing syringe weight.

Yes to fixing scope.

No to basically making medkits having infinite uses. Hell no.

Sure if you wanna have noisemaker cause alarms but be warned, too many ppl would fk around with that.

I dont really understand your logic. You want to make things that are ok, weak, but yet want to blind ppl with plasma?

Yeah, I’d love to have that, but good lord it would be way too strong.

For those who misinterpreted my proposed change to medkits, I neither suggested to make them stronger or make them infinite. Don’t know how this was confusing. Each med bag already has 3 uses. Medkits in the environment have the same. I’m saying make the carried medkits the same as the ones found in the field, and allow the choice to either use the one’s in the field where they are, or if you are carrying medkits, grab the one in the field to carry if you have used one up. That doesn’t make them infinite or stronger. Get a grip

alright lets hit these one at a time
1: you definitally don’t play predator if you think this is a good idea Claiming as a whole currently is something a good predator never does cause the trade is 1 claim = 40% hp loss so making it interupptable just compounds on that problem good preds don’t claim we shoot the dead
2: we already had an issue where 2nd wind = a death sentance for the predator because FT was too fast that is mostly still true today with Recons scouts or assaults with move speed perks cloak is literally worthless for hiding from FT just ask any FT main on the forum tree’s are also worthless as you ahve a set line that snipers will just ping you to death as you walk along them
3: personally i think the disc should be buffed in terms of speed/ease controls but i don’t know if i’d agree to this
4 netgun is fine it’s exactly as it should be right now
5: i also think the PC’s should be buffed don’t know if i’d take a flashbang though raw damage would be fine tbh of course the HPC is fine as it is right now no buffs needed
6-9 all melee weapons are bad and need buffs
10: good make pistols worth carrying
11:yeah claymores would be a good idea though we don’t need to trap pigs FT can already bait pigs and prevent them from being used if they want to

19: actually at one point they did do this and they were nerfed not to in 1.06 i think or at least they didn’t trigger alarms but AI would huddle around them when thrown

Again, keep it respectful. Already these responses are laced with words like “silly” or “ridiculous” and clear attempts to be derisive without being overtly disrespectful while still carrying the tone of disrespect. There is nothing wrong with disagreement, just keep it civil.

Please respond with reasoned arguments, I have neither the time or patience to respond to everything, and definitely won’t if there is no reasoning explained. If there is something I have suggested that requires further explanation I will be happy to expand upon it.

Playing against PC players is objectively a handicap to those playing on PS4, controller cannot match a mouse for speed and accuracy when aiming. If you choose to keep crossplay on that’s up to you. My thread post has nothing to do with this.

This is not about pc and ps4… its about both of them realising their potential as fireteam… imagine a full pre made squad with 4 sniper rifles… i know ton of people who played bf3, bf4 and have outrageous sniper aim with controllers… the skill set is same it depends how u worked towards it and learn to play honestly…

If you keep saying PC is above all you are wrong… i saw many people go pro with controller in esports…

Predator literally has nothing to do to againts pre mades on both PC or PS4 players… his mechanics are way narrow… half of shit is bugged out even…

If what you think is right aka your stuff you mentioned than thats on you… i respect your opinion and decision but i will keep saying since 1.06 people realised how to play fireteam and most of my matches i spend atleast a good min or two finding them which is i guess on me… but then again i am not ashamed to say that this is not right, people playing pred shouldnt feel anxious when tryharding lmao… when i play relaxed i will get stomped… if i show mercy i get stomped… u show them mercy they speedrun… they then chase you …

hey listen man i use the term ridiculous cause points 1-4 and 16 are some absurd asks if you know how the game is played right now but if you want reasonable arguments then fine let’s boil i down to the points i disagree with

2 we already had an issue where 2nd wind = a death sentance at launch for the predator because FT was too fast that is mostly still true today with Recons scouts or assaults with move speed perks cloak is literally worthless for hiding from FT just ask any FT main on the forum tree’s are also worthless as you have a set line that snipers will just ping you to death as you walk along them not only that if a FT catches you climbing a tree you usually lost 5%-10% of your hp due to the animation being easy to track

3: giving the FT a way to take predators gear could get real troublesome real fast it’s bad enough you can destroy the disc in 40 bullets right now making it a liability and potenially a worthless piece of gear albeit i do think it should be buffed to be indestructible and perhaps make the flight controls easier to work with in some way to increase it’s viability it’s possible that when this occurs it’s dmg might need to be nerfed considering right now it does 137+55 damage per throw add on a melee damage of 30 and it pretty much one taps the entire roster

4: netgun is fine as if your one of hte faster classes Pred won’t even hit you if you run in a circle pattern around him as his claws are straight hiboxes not swinging hitboxes causing his tracking to not help him hit you and i still have players who can mash so hard they are out of a net in 1 second after it was applied
as it stands right now it serves as a (poor) crowdcontrol tool that can in most cases guarantee wins in 1v1’s but loses it’s effectiveness against groups that can break out of them quickly hell you can even parry the same frame you break out of a net so yeah their fine if anything they should do more damage or be more likly to trigger the on a wall pinned animation

16 if you think syrettes are weak enough they need a gear cost reduction i don’t know what to tell you other than:
they heal for 100 over 3 seconds you get 2 of them you don’t have to channel on anything and you can use them to animation cancel anything in the game from reloads to parries. That’s right when a predator get’s parried you can cancel the knife block animation with a heal to hit the predator before he recovers to swing again! Whereas the predator in order to heal has to either channel a medkit for up to 15 seconds or eat a pig in a potentially dangerous location that he might not even be able to find or be capable of doing cause they always spawn in proximity to the FT so they can contest them

I, and others I have talked with on psn party chat, have been saying for awhile that matches are rushed with only 15 minutes of time. So I agree with that.

I think that they should start by making match time 20 minutes and making missions more multipart, requiring the Fireteam to complete actions in at least 2 different locations on the map. Completing the mission and hitting the exfil in under 5 minutes is just due to poor game design imo. There are a lot of things that I would change at the basic level of this game to improve it, this is one that is a necessity, pacing is wrong as is right now.

Quick claims shouldn’t be interruptable cuz then no one would get claimed especially if they added the sidearm when downed thing some of us suggested

Netgun is already bad it doesn’t need nerfed

And the change u want to 2nd wind makes it literally the most useless mechanic in the game

Most of the stuff you suggested could only be a thing if they decide to develop an RNG system… cause to me the game seems like it has all scripted events lol… to me a game like this in general asymmetrical games need RNG systems for missions… and atleast 30+ minutes…

Imo net gun has been LIMITED hardly… the net gun in movies is waaaaay different lol… it pins them on any surface and it can slice trough the skin and damage them highly… my experience with net gun is that its pretty boring cause its limited…

When I build a loadout with the netgun I include beartraps and the Trapper perk- it makes the nets significantly more effective. They are harder to escape and unless someone has a rapidfire controller they absolutely cannot spam out of a net in 1 second, it usually takes 4 or 5 seconds at least. I’ve examined the movies and they never show the netgun used more than one shot per scene. If you look at the weapon there is no possible way for it to store more than one shot, much less 15 shots.
I find the Netgun is usually the difference between win and lose in many fights due to it’s spammable nature as it is currently made to function in game. This implies that it is not balanced. A solution to this is to add a reload animation. It wouldn’t need to be as involved as a rocket launcher as far as taking 10 seconds, but taking 4-5 seconds to reload it would be appropriate imo (disengage the expended net section and drop it, pull a fresh one and lock it in). I agree it should have more power to pushback a target and pin them to walls or the ground. Say a 6 foot pushback maybe.
