So I hear a lot of Ppl wanting Illfonic to be more open with what their doing and working on and stuff like that can u just explain how their supposed to be more open? (Im not going to be arguing with anyone I am simply gonna respond with what I think, you don’t half to reply bacc lmao) @Courier read these
About being more informed by the devs
I wish they would just let us know prior to dropping patches. The surprise patches are cool and all, but I like to know what changes are coming before they go live.
Hey fk you. I wanna argue with you.
I would like to just know what they’re planning, and actually talk about balance with us.
SO FIGHT ME BRAH.

Lmaoaoao all I’m thinking is a lot of ppl are mad about them being smoke and mirrors but in reality how do they tell us future things and updates without spoiling future surprises 🤷♂️😂
what i legitamatly want from them is a better roadmap and balance philosophies
ie what they should do is instead of a roadmap of ?‘s it should be
in june your gonna be getting samurai pred he is intended to be a mix of ___ and _____
with a sword that is elder sword but more range and slower attacks
and were working on a new map that is supposed to be big with ___ and ___ type of buildings’ verticality
and balance wise tell us why they make X change ahead of time so we can let them know if the change should happen
ie hey guys so we’ve been seeing alot of data that suggest players struggle killing the zerker so were gonna nerf his melee dmg and nerf the combistick
and we would say don’t do that he is already the weakest predator parries solve that problem and there are guns that kill predator before a full melee combo can even come out only baddies struggle give it time zerker won’t be an issue
The reason they don’t engage with us should be pretty obvious after looking at just a few posts here.
I very much like this one showing what we would like to seeeeeee🥳
I believe most people would like to have more information on what are their plans for middle and long terms for the game, what directions are they working with the game, what sort of content they foresee coming…
By the way, the AvP Galaxy website/podcast has announced they will be interviewing Illfonic’s creative director Jared Gerritzen towards the end of the month, hopefully they can squeeze some info out of the guy about what’s in store for Hunting Grounds
Oh that’s sicc I had no clue thanks for the info👍
I don’t particularly care if they directly interact with us, but I do care about the quality and quantity of information they share.
We don’t currently receive enough of either.
-
I’d like to see a Dev run feedback pole, covering a number of mechanics and topics.
-
I’d like to hear about the next mode that’s coming to the game, assuming it’s 95% or so finished and just needs voices limes or something trivial that doesn’t mean the mode will never appear.
-
I’d like to see the screenshot they use in house when showing off assets or new maps, I don’t care if they’re not real teases, not everything has to reveal something new.
-
Actually I would like a community manager, who does talk to us and hang outs. (They need to be a bit of an asshole, this place can be rough. That doesn’t mean they’ll ever act that way cause you can’t argue with a ban. But the community will actually respect them more if they’re capable of maintaining order with the smallest number of bans.)
The community will get used to only getting questions answered when they can, and not on demand.
Okay nice job we can only hope someone peeps this thread lmao because not enough ppl are speaking up about this sortov topic I wanna know if this game has a future or not much lnao
Tag the courier.
I’m not sure what to say man. There are literally dozens of companies who all have the ability to talk to their community. I can literally produce similar content to them if any company hired me and allowed me 2 hours a week with the dev team to talk about their thoughts and work. I will then create said content and bounce it back to the forum. Basically 90% communicating outwards and 10% listening and replying to specific posts.
I would make absolutely sure that there would be polls checking the opinions of the community and make absolutely sure I’m honest about the current state of the game. If there are issues going on behind the scenes, I would suggest a change in leadership (style), because the current course of action is damaging not only Predator: Hunting Grounds but also the future reputation of any game released after P:HG.
Very important is to start an official Discord with feedback features and weekly livestreams where the devs both play the game and talk about their work. Make sure the community starts to see the people behind the game, or at least a few of them. Not only that, but actively share the vision behind the game, maybe even explain the community what kind of feedback the team is looking for (to control the topics slightly).
Most important is to take BACK control regarding outgoing communication, hire (or volunteer) a few moderators who’d love to help out for a few goodies and a thanks you afterwards, for the forum.
One of the key focus points is doing research within the community and make it absolutely clear why they are staying, and loving the game. I’d even go as far as to create a list of priorities the community has, and mirror it within the team. The #1 priority is getting back the trust of the community and show them the team cares. That the team are people, maybe even say go as far as telling the community how some of the (toxic) responses have impacted the team. To level out the emotions and make sure everyone understands these are people working on a passion project.
After a few months you’d have (free) moderators for the forum keeping an eye out for troublemakers. They make sure the right information is seen by the team. “My job” would be creating said communication/content to become more transparant for the community and make a realistic roadmap, probably without a date.
At this point I’d even go as far as to let this community help out with “bug-hunts” and make short work of the bugfixes by lightening the load of the team having to recreate many situations to understand what is going wrong exactly. I’d let the community make their own list of bugs that need to go first, second, third and last. I’d even discuss it with the team if it would be smart to postpone DLC to prioritize fixing the current issues.
And all of this…? Isn’t happening.
This is great feedback on this…tldr but I did read the first part lmao
It’s literally less than one A4 paper sheet. Real feedback isn’t a twitter message <3
Lmao wrd I’m doing match’s and am to lazy rn 😂
I would suggest not to overdo on tagging him or her… due to actual respect for privacy and humanity… but yeah in general they need to make an actual roadmap that wont spoil the future content rather they give us indirect spoilers that people can make theories about it
For them to engage in conversations with random anonymous people and toxic forumers who don’t have any of their best intentions in mind is not the best move for a public company.
What they are doing now… is worse.
