also… Joe Bonamassa

NOT THE 90’S BRO

I recognize none of this.

The problem I see today is that with the advent of streaming services and how technology has gotten so cheap that it has become very affordable to produce a good sounding album, there’s way too much stuff out there and most of it is crap.

Is not that music today is crappier than ever, it always has been, but back in the day those crappy artists wouldn’t have made it farther than their local pub… now they have an album and they are in spotify and pandora, even if they don’t even play at their local pub

And the “reverse” can happen where some actually talented bands/artists get drowned out by the absolute tidal waves of shitty artists.

Totally

Now why would you go and say something as foolish as this?

This is 1000% true. They’re not “artists” they acoustic specialists with a niche and marketing. Record industry has always been stupid but now it’s just gotten ridiculous where any idiot with a laptop can be a sensation

Makes me feel like a fucking hipster because I find a lot of the bands and artists I like aren’t popular or well known because they don’t fit into whatever is the current trend… big sad

Because they suck. All their songs sound alike. They have literally an established formula for their song structure (intro, verse, bridge, verse, chorus, bridge, solo, chorus, end)

But most of all… for the same reason I hate Slayer, Megadeth and Dream Theater… BECAUSE OF THEIR FUCKING FANS!!!

(OK, I secretly like DT but fuck all those JP fanboys)

Yep! Two under my belt so far and one was over 100 years old

I was actually in a “black metal” band when that shit started happening in Norway

Was never big into DT… waaay too long of songs and my attention span is non existent

Good! Forgiveness should have stopped like 65 years ago when 45 countries turned there backs and covered their eyes to Germany

Maybe one day you’ll earn your horns

And then one day for no reason at all, people voted hitler into power…

Everytime I hear Norway, i get a flashback of this documentary I watched History of metal and this Metal singer was talking about burning down a church while stroking a long stem wine glass!
