Add "snappier" aim assit to PS4, then balance for play aginst top level PC fireteams.

No, then those using it have an advantage. No aim assist period.

Or split up hardcore servers from aim assist ones — but there’s already matchmaking issues, so no aim assist still for it will only complicate things and make it worse to play public lobbies.

If PS4 players don’t like playing against PC players because of Mouse & Keyboard just turn cross-play off problem solved.

Wouldn’t want aim assist. They should just support a mouse and keyboard on ps4 if the game is crossplay but they won’t. I just don’t think shooters will ever be fair between console and PC. Not just aiming with a mouse but also frame rates. My last pc used to give me over 100fps on most games which is also a huge advantage when aiming.

I already have cross-play turned off majority of the time. Once @IllFonic finally enables ability to invite friends on opposite platform then I’ll turn it back on.

My family has 4 copies of the game but half are on PC and we can’t even play together which sucks.

  1. Aim with Key+Mouse strongly depend on skill. Anyone cant do it well just by using K+M.
  2. Gamepad don’t fit properly for FPS like its said many times. But it’s not game problem. It’s your choice play FPS game via console.
  3. Aim assist is cheat = aim hack. Ask sony for support K+M.

Of course it is skill dependent but it’s still way easier with a mouse compared to a controller. A pad is ok for some fps games as long as it’s a level playing field.

You can switch to crosspay off for. The game must be the same for each player no matter of platform.

Aimbot is not necessary and if you don’t think aim assist is not aimbot, don’t even. I play on my PS4 account all of the time with this and I don’t have a problem, do I have a controller that is better than most? Yes, because I don’t spend a fiver on a shitty controller.

The framerate problem is with this game not with the ps4 but you can’t even get 120 fps on console that is just not possible

Because look at COD Warzone’s crossplay. They need the aim assist to even keep up. Currently the pred can just sprint around ps4 teams in a circle and they will never be able to hit it. It’s not even remotely challenging, nor is it fun getting matched with ps4 fireteams because they have a huge issue tracking moving targets.

It’s not an “aimbot.” It’s a function to help controllers hit moving targets because the vast majority can’t and steamrolling people playing a shooter with a controller gets incredibly boring.
