Lol exactly so coming full circle whem i watch it as its own thing and aliens are a cameo its not bad but if im lookin at it through an alien lense theres alot of issues…at least to me. Point being alot of stuff doesnt feel authentic and maybe that may not be the rigbt word to use, but again this is all just opinion

I think you can infer some kind of understanding between David and xenos. Also, in the scrip, I think there was no opportunity for him to show the communication as it would expose his position to the human crew. It was a us vs them setup where he tried to show that he’s vulnerable to xenos too.

Both. Even though david experimented with the neomorph, xenos inhabited same environment and didn’t hunt David down. That’s why I’m assuming there’s an understanding between them, based on some type of communication.
there is no indication that they are the same type its just that where one doesn’t kill the other there is some moments of communication or a silence going on. Doesnt mean they are on the same level.

As aggressive as xenos are towards everything, I don’t see why they would not attack David. That’s why I’m assuming there’s communication. Pretty much every other living organisms that can in contact with a xeno either died or killed the xeno, or was taken as a host. There is no maybe for their aggression.

I hated this scene because thats what it suggested. That a machine like David would mutually have a kinship with an alien. i mean there is nothing like acid for blood and milky white blood to justify this not even the machinisms of the snyth body…and a the animal qualities of an alien /or zombie like qualities to say that these or equal in biology.
That said, this whole scene was just to say…YES . Alien movies can be corny too and reach a mass audience for stupid reasons.
I don’t know why xenos wouldn’t attack David. If he’s not prey, he could be competition. It doesn’t have to be love or friendship. Some kind of mutual understanding. Just like the one Ripley had with the Queen over the eggs and approaching xenos. That was not love or friendship.
Too me it looked like David was controlling a puppet or like he was a parent, trying to hold protomorphs attention.
It echoed to Davids relationship with Weyland. Giving indirect life of sorts. On some level it feels like David hated humans because he was too different from them. So he’s creating his own ‘children’
