Apes already are able to hold conversations with humans through the use of sign language.
It is a matter of time, possibly one or two decades, now with AI, that we will be able to communicate with some animals through the use of something like translation apps, the way people who donât speak a common language can do it Today.

Xenomorphs are highly intelligent social creatures. Since the movie Aliens they have been depicted as smart, intelligent, capable of learning and being able to communicate among themselves through purrs, clicking, snarls, hisses and screeches, as well as body language (which almost all animals use, including humans).
I would not imagine the show having Wendy making a full emotional conversation with the alien, but a basic form of communication to express distress, anger, hunger, etc. yeah! thatâs totally possible.

Valid points made, but i got a question, if these robots arw able to do that why wasnt david able to? Because he wasnt a child whos conciousness was transferred to a robot? Because the plot didnt incorporate it? And were talkin about the xeno so david being able to speak to the engineers is not the same.
Yea if wendy can pick up on certain sounds that are a kin to hearing a dog cry and know its in distress or askin for somethin then its different, but she sittin with her mouth open with chirps coming out implying shes talking to it which is whats lame to me.
