Alien earth
Only David was made with few limitations and eventually developed God complex. All others do their jobs. Earth synths (kids) are on their way to becoming like David, but for now they still have some innocence in them.

the idea the AI, may at one point think for themselves. But its more explorative in the narrative NOT an exact science.
The whole idea of what we understand of artifical beings (Even in Blade Runner ) the idea that a cyborg could exhibit a miracle or something that exhibited qualities outside of its original programming is the idea of true inspiration. A random occurrence that comes from existential programming. Like evolution or biological alterations and adaptations that are stepping into the unknowns.

The existentialism is probably the issue with most people who just like horror fiction.
THe journey of the character whether they are the subplot or the main plot.
Alien was really a situation premis. What we call the Sit-Com in popular tv today.
There was little to no journey. More like âA jounrney of like minds interrupted by the alien signalâ and all hell breaks loose. Survivor wins but they are all victims.
Where as in Aliens in 1986, we find Ripley is the hero and would find with others whom she would feel devoted to along her journey with its betrayals and its revalations.
The more complicated, the more dis-associated it is from the original and the less scary it becomes.
I think at some point we might find a sit-prem. Where we get what the cast initially was going to do and they get interrupted- to reboot it requires a real existential reboot of the franchise like taking it back in time or a story about a crew of things that has nothing to do with Mining companies. Then the horror begins and we donât quite know who the hero is less the actual main lead roles. People die and we only get to understand the film once everyone dies except for the one survivor.
That said, we donât have that so much in the Alien franchise but were what we were hoping for with Fedeâs version we still got it with Rain as she was always the main lead and we understood that she would be. The natural surprise is spoiled by this.
What Iâd like to see is a new concept, and a new cast and crew with different ideals. We almost got this with Prometheus, but still the strong female lead survived.
Iâm sure there might be a trial like that film âExpandablesâ where everyone is on the same bar but who knows.
What we got with Alien Earth is rationally equality amongst all the lost boys.
I have no idea at any point that only one would go bonkers. Which i thought was interesting.
If you donât think story is compelling enough to watch to see it through to the end, why do you like entertainment to begin with?
Just fucking play Divison2 and realize your entire franchise has gone to shit and the story sucks and the business thrives on rainbow coloured cosmetics. Then you go MAss youâre right. I like good business rather than lucrative deals.
Everyone who likes Div2 states some god given problem that they have like they play the game with their âfamilyâ which âblah blah blahâ gives them hope for their family livesâŚwhich is not the point of the game.
But for my end statement: I like Alien Covenant because they made throwing up an alien in the mouth an actual thing!
