So since we don’t have any alien fans here, I thought to piss everyone off by creating one in the General Discussion section so I can be top dog and give you all my seed since I’m a super genius.
My thoughts on a potential sequel, which I gave no thought to at all, is one where we don’t follow Rain and Andy on their cringy adventure through space. Rather, we look back a little into time during the first issue with the film.
Big Chap was captured/ studied/ and manipulated until its eventual escape.
So the big question is what happened that made it loose on the station and allowed it to create a hive?
The research allowed them to recreate the facehuggers without eggs yet Big Chap got loose and it eventually they had station members become taken into the hive and impregnated with facehuggers.
The film doesn’t show ANY eggs in the sequence of dead people. and we know the station is infested now with multiple xenos. So the question there lies, since there is no queen and no eggs, did WY researchers manufacture the facehuggers from Big chap only to just let a portion of them loose on the station and freeze a bunch? Ultimately, yes and ultimately making the station a literal culture of evidence of the pathogen regardless of whether humans can be safe in it!
They also known about the viles of black goo David took because they showed a hologram of one. Therefore David/Walters work is actually present and Rook made it into the Z01 formula. Could David and Walter be the inspiration for the Romulus and Remus Stations? The intent meant that Muther is the Wolf and allowed their research to continue thus being the vengeance on Peter Weyland (their father) whom casted them out on their frivolous journey.
Is there a film here?
There were mercenaries on board…are they all dead? There were two pulse rifles in the nearby case in the lab. One was missing from a 3 gun bin! Did one survive person survive and is still hiding about on the station? Why was there a Narcissus type ship just happened to get away during the crash into the rings? Was there another story involved?
I think so…
I think Fede did some staging on the set and saw lots of potential-cause-for-a-sequel just by manipulating the set which probably wasn’t even his design! But I guess that is what a director can do.
