In a behind the scenes youtube video, there is an actual shot of
Xenomorph birthing from the cacoon and going full upside down. Unfortunely this didn’t make the final cut I saw in the theatres. Man I hope they really do something and make a fully uncut version of the film and extend/polish it for home release!

ridley produced this entire shin dig. All he did was sign off on the budget. maybe he just said “lets cut this this and this” because it looks like it.
I mean he did the same thing with the ending of Prometheus (with the deacon) and we never saw the deacon afterwards ever in any cannon related stuff.
I just think that sometimes the endboss can be more memorable and serve as a cannonical function or imagination.
Isnt deacon shown in some murals or art in the covenant or at least hinted to be predecessor of the current xenos? There was a vid I saw some time ago about extras from covenant and how a lot of it was cut and ended up being a mess of a story.

In a discussion about the Caccoon I think that it is could be part of the hive and not actually chestburster dookie. Because much like where soldiers and warriors come out of the walls in AFTE, these could just be openings in the hive. Its not really explained. It would be an interesting thing to see in future AFTE DLCs if we ever get them.
It is a very late addition. You’d figure Aliens or Resurrection would have had them, but they just jumped the process since time wasn’t a factor. It’s a reasonable idea overall, but they also used it to check off Isolation concept of what can make a dent in a mature xeno.
Isnt it interesting how Naru got so much flack about gender roles, but in future Alien creates noone gives a damn who you are as long as you can be useful to W-Y. Is this the end result that woke folks should celebrate? Yes, there iz oppression and injustice in the colonies, but it’s equal for everyone.
i think people weren’t too keen on the idea of women having a long slimy tube shoved down their throat getting orally r@ped by an alien on screen too much. could be why we’ve never really seen them get facehugged until this movie came out
A fair point, though that’s how the process happens no matter the gender. Facehugger don’t care. Do you think that’s even more in tune with gender roles, albeit sexually, but less comfortable to have a discussion about then say having kids or living in a kitchen?

Watched a few reviews and comments. People were complaining about the teens getting on Romulus before a W-Y search and exterminate team. How are we feeling about that?
How about why did it float to gas giant and why did it happen to have a moon that occupied by a colony and why did they casually find it first and nobody else and why this and why that…

Fair. Those questions are too technical for me so I can’t help you there. I like alien movies so making sense of questionable events is interesting for me.
Even if it’s fiction, there are still rules about how things operate. Unless theyve cornered the plot and need captain marvel to be deus ex machina

Perhaps they should have made Scorched the final boss and did away with the Offspring. (Seeing the mouse was enough of a hint) Would make incubation longer and give more screen time for other xenos.
I’m just disturbed by the fact that all types of alien bodies are floating in space now. Who gives a fuck about exploring planets right? You wanted to see aliens, go search the empty void of space.
Yeah, that’s a tough one to get around. I suppose since it was by the wreckage at least they were in the area. Exploring space dust at random is a fools errand.
reminds me of what the chestbuster must be doing to yet again find a way to morph into the next phase.
