Amazon Pred Mains are Sweats

Used it plenty of times against PHG OGs so not really hard at all the disc is the only weapon in the game that takes “skill” or technique

I don’t consider it try hard at all. What annoys me is dying to a 5 year old brainless potato because playing FT solo is a nightmare against melee and playing with at least one competent player is too easy

Not really.

Axe is terrible now & only potatoes will complain about Plasma.

As Predator just use whatever you want at the end of the day. Potato Fireteam players are gonna complain how you didn’t adhere to their rulebook regardless of what you do at the end of the day.

Me personally, I only really can’t stand Dutch 87s using Leader and/or if there is more than 1 Dutch 87 in the team. Idrc about Amphibious, it’s his only spec that isn’t particularly broken in some way. This is primarily in the context of a private match against other high level players though whenever talking about how broken the Fireteam is. I don’t blame you for running Dutch 87 if you only run publics & have to worry about carrying 3 neanderthal teammates every match.

Like I said, as Predator, just use whatever the hell you want. There will always be someone that has something to complain about. Nothing is overpowered on the Predator side anyway. Just do whatever you see fit to win. If the Fireteam are spamming grenades, spam Plasma. If the Fireteam are trying to mash the knife exploit, spam Plasma. If a Scout with double time is trying to run around you in a circle & you can’t hit them with ranged weapons because of bad ping, just mash with a melee weapon into their back or jump out of the fight & use fully charged Plasma shots. You get the idea.

Most people here just don’t like losing to Predators that mash R2 with a melee weapon & get lucky with the tracking for example because there isn’t much they can do if they have 3 shit teammates. Plus it can be frustrating when you lose to an opponent that is blatantly not as skilled as you.

Melee does objectively take less skill to use than ranged weapons. You are literally just mashing R2 or L2 & hoping the Fireteam member doesn’t parry you, aswell as hoping their teammates don’t melt you.

With ranged weapons you need to time the quick scopes, judge trajectory, predict movement etc. All while deliberately trying to dodge bullets & avoid damage, and get one person downed & preferably dead before being forced to retreat or getting second winded and/or killed.

Smart Disc takes skill to use yes, but it’s easier to get results with safely than the Plasma Caster & Plasma Pistol. There is also a lot of trajectory judgement & movement anticipation with them like I already mentioned. If you play against legitimately elite Fireteam players, you won’t be saying it’s easy to land Plasma Pistol & Plasma Caster shots without getting melted.

Most “OGs” of this game are dogshit to be perfectly honest with you. There are people with over 10,000 hours who played from day 1, and they still can’t do anything to me with a full premade.

I’m curious as to what separates the “boys from the men”, as it were? How can people who’ve invested stupid amounts of hours in this for five years since launch not be able to affect you, yet certain players with far less hours and arguably experience can?

It’s like @ScOp_StUrMi always says.

If you don’t play against the best you’re never gonna be the best. If you just stay playing public matches against potatoes you’re just gonna plateau & never get any better.

It’s about actual value of experience. Quality over quantity. The quantity does help in terms of practice etc. Sure, but if you never keep testing yourself against better players you’re never going to improve yourself.

Think about what actual Predators do for example. You don’t see Predators just hunting the same old basic prey over & over again once they become Blooded, they look for a bigger challenge every time, both to test their skill & to improve as Hunters.

You don’t do yourself any favors by backing out against people who you deem better than yourself either.

Before I decided to better myself I would pretty always play solo

Winning as FT is as easy as breathing most of the time

Hell you don’t even have to kill the Predator to win

It’s a real shame the game was just thrown together without much thought as it could have really been something special and unique

Naw i understand that i was jus readin thru thinkin damn we cant do that or use that? It took me back to when the big thing was predators using the axe and plasma and was seen as the easy win which it can be if they’re cheesin it, but kinda took me back a bit

Sheesh is it that many? Lol alot of em were good tho regardless if they were salty but your good to where your known by some as a hacker so maybe thas a level above them other guys

Fair point about the melee. As far as ranged weapons goes i get the stuff you have to consider when using em, but i jus never had issues gettin my shots off with those and not like im some badass ulyumate marksman but i can get em off here and there but if you mean like posting up and takin shots, then yea but jus gotta be a lil creative.

Now the disc is somethin i havent mastered. I can makes hits every know and then but i cant hit as often as the others and its funny cus i got a set predator class that ive got down for easy or hard matches but when i decide to use a class to practice with the disc i end up seein hardhitters so gotta switch back.

All OGs are dog shit? Damn like which ones there was alot that were actually pretty good. I guess depending on which players for what ever they’re using between ft and pred.

Most. I don’t wanna drop names but I’ve heard the whole “muhh I’m OG durrrrr” argument from dozens of players. As a matter of fact… I can’t recall the last time I lost to one those players. I mean seriously. It’s like every single time someone says that, I’m teaching them something new about the game and/or hearing a whole lot of blah blah wah wah plasma spam. Hell just the other day, I was running my JH87 Tracker with no meds and a disc against a “OG” crew. I didn’t even have to heal off a pig and allowed reinforcements. And any time I try to explain what they did wrong, it’s always crying and excuses. Always dude…

I mean it can feel easy using ranged weapons if you don’t have any good players to worry about. It’s the same with anything against potatoes really. People get used to battering bad players all the time & then they’ll run into a team that knows what they are doing or a team that’s using broken loadouts & then they’ll get a wake up call. It’s like how AcidGlow only ever uploads matches where he beats 4 potatoes, and then he runs into Samhain by himself & gets clapped.

Disc just takes practice & good ping to get into the rhythm of it really. Sometimes I’ll play Privates & I can’t hit shit, and other times I’ll kill 3 people with a couple Disc throws at the start of the match. Sometimes you’ve just got to “lock in” as they say. But yeah as far as improving with the Smart Disc goes, I just recommend practice & to not use it if you’ve got high ping. Also if you’re on PS I recommend turning up your gamma to the highest setting when using the Disc because otherwise you won’t be able to see anything half the time while piloting it in dark spaces or through foliage. Especially on night maps.

Another thing you can do to practice Disc is hop into a Private Match with bots & just go to one of the main camps of whichever map you choose, and start throwing the Disc, maneuvering it through places in the camp where the Fireteam usually go for missions etc. Like an obstacle course. It’ll help you build muscle memory & get better & weaving the Disc in and out of doorways, windows, tight corners, buildings etc.

I mean I quite literally said “Most”, not “All”.

clearly you have not played solo FT for a while and everybody here can tell because nobody except you, differs from my opinion

Well the names was mainly to get a idea of the scale were talkin cus like i said ive played some good ones that have been around since launch. Cus some that claimed they were ogs yea they werent all that but others were so idk which type your referring to. You dont gotta drop names but thas why i was askin

Well thas why i asked for names cus im sayim ive played ogs and some on here sayin most ogs are trash and im sayin ive played against alot if not all at least once and dont have issues hitting and some are comin back sayin well maybe you never played a pre made/good players or the ones that are top tier and im sayim well which are they then cus it sounds like might as well say all of em are cus i keep seein “maybe you havent played them” but as someone whos been here since launch and played countless types from shit, ok, good, to top tier guys. Not sayin they were all the same cus i didnt win em all but never had issues landing my shots with the plasmas.

I know people never like to admit this, but its true, and echoes your above reply to me, that if you spend all your hours in-game fucking with potatoes in pubs, you cannot call yourself “the best”, or “good” at anything, other than just bullying and claiming potatoes. There IS a certain joy to running pubs as Pred, because you never know who you’re gonna get; I’ve ran into several premades lately, whom I would consider to be difficult for me, who’ve pushed me for the whole match, taken my mask, made me use all my medkits, yet did not kill me, and I consider that a learning experience and certainly a wake up call. I ran into Beer solo and got my dick chopped off and fed to me (admittedly I had a lot against me in that one, but still), THAT was a wake up call, imagine if he had a full squad. Like, what the fuck do you do against that? You don’t get that level of tracking and accuracy in pubs 99% of the time.

I mean, kinda true, but also not. Maybe more if you play with crossplay off and only play against console potatoes. If you play pubs you will ultimately run against a few good players from time to time. Of course there’s always those who, in such scenarios, recur to call anyone good: “cheater”, because the thought of someone else being better at the game than them is too painful to bear.

Most people here now play pubs because almost no one is up for privates, and the few that are, usually are because they wanna prove us wrong and end up, you know, admitting they were wrong and we were right.

My problem is that sometimes predators try to hog the reward.
