Nelo Angelo is the SOUL of Vergil.

It’s literally in his notes, in the very first game. Vergil originally died as a child. 3 retconned him to be a generic anime villain. I feel like I’m repeating myself at this point.

I dont think it’s ever stated that they age differently, and if that were the case, Nero would look exactly the same as he did in 4. Instead, Dante and Lady both aged the same so that theory is out the window.

You might wanna replay 4, there’s 0 reason for Nero to depend on Yamato to have an arm, Yamato gave him DT… he had the arm already. So not very good writing there.

What game is DmC? Probably the one you keep bringing into the conversation I guess? If DmC did bad it’s sales wouldn’t have been better than 2,3, and 4. But it was.

Itsuno saying he would rather make 6 instead of a DMC2 remake is in no way the same as saying they werent going to stick with DmC before NT signed under Microsoft.

I’m not a noob at all, DMC is a very easy game which is why there’s always like 5 difficulties.

The original concept was way more tactical and dependant on variation.

This is why I’m able to hit SSS on the last boss on the hardest difficulty before 1hko mode… using only handguns.

You couldn’t do that before 3. Where in 1, the Style meter depended on how fast you could kill an enemy efficiently, 3 onward actually depends on you… keeping your enemies alive for as long as possible.

So yeah, that’s why people challenge themselves with say handguns only, or megabuster only.

I dont know what it is about 3 fanboys but they always pretend they know the series back to front yet always are exposed as never having played or finished the first game. It’s called embellishing. 3 was such a massive fuck up they needed to start making special editions which are now a staple in their development… not a good look to continuously release barebones games on purpose only to finish it later at the same price.

In conclusion, if NT hadn’t signed with Microsoft, DMC5 would not be a thing. DmC wouldn’t have happened if 3 and 4 were good games. Both of them were saved by special editions.

Devil May Cry 3 is said to be the most difficult game in the series, and the original release is often regarded as one of the most difficult games of all time. Enemies and Bosses generally get tougher while the player gets weaker as the difficulty increases.

I also live in American and the difficulty level is harder then Japanese lol

North American release most difficulty levels were shifted up by one, making NA ‘Easy’ equivalent to Japanese ‘Normal’, NA ‘Normal’ equivalent to Japanese ‘Hard’, and NA ‘Hard’ being a unique difficulty that would later be known in the special edition as ‘Very Hard’. The Special Edition release returned to consistent difficulty mode names across all regions.

I beat 3 with E&I and Spiral only… Its the easiest next to 2. I already cited the botched difficulty like 3 responses ago, try to keep up. The reason people think its hard is because they think combos matter like they did in 1. They don’t. You do the same 2 attacks back n forth until you get SSS… that doesn’t happen in DMC1, which might be why you haven’t finished it. Not friendly to newcomers.

I called it though lol, you started with 3 and probably just weebed out over the anime right? You dont know the roots, you don’t even know the original storyline, and you’re emotionally triggered over the reboot. Take a seat.

No, because Ninja Theory bailed. I dunno why you need to be reminded of this fact. They were already going ahead with DmC2 before they bailed. It doesn’t matter what the sales targets were when… I mean we’re both going back and fourth sharing the same articles saying “buuuuuut we had to make 5 instead”. Like, just accept reality, why have such an emotional investment in this?

High sales targets have always been a bad mark on DMC since the very first game was so groundbreaking. 2 didn’t live up to expectations, 3 didn’t meet them with expectations already in the gutter… so by your standards, every game is a failure except 1 and 5. I can agree on that, good point.

Where 1 was an overnight classic that reshaped the action genre, the rest of the series took a good couple decades to reach some potential ;)

DMC: Devil May Cry was the reboot of the Devil May Cry series that no one really asked for, and when it came out, no one really wanted it. It actually sold and even reviewed well enough, but to say the general fan reaction was pretty negative would be an understatement. The new, short brown haired, brooding, too cool for school, meth addict looking Dante was not a redesign that sat well with fans of the series. The gameplay itself was actually pretty decent, but the overall aesthetic and “edgy” story were considered to be a severe downgrade from the goofiness that comes with Devil May Cry. The reboot was so poorly received that it almost killed the Devil May Cry series once and for all.

But I ain’t going to lie…I did like the Definitive Edition, it was almost like playing the original and filtered much of the shit that was this reboot lol

Oh look all they did was add features the original like 3 had! harder difficulties, stylish mode, TURBO Mode, lock on, bloody palace and it’s kind of like a special edition so…YOU GET TO PLAY AS!…YA THATS RIGHT!….VERGIL!!! LOL LOL LOL 😱😂🤣

Vergil and Bloody Palace was DLC for DmC long before definitive edition.

They didn’t have to cater anything at all, they added dlc long before the definitive edition. 5 didn’t even have bloody palace for the first few months.
