Was hoping they gave us this guy as dlc during the clash release with a bad blood (dlc) and watch them duke it out lol
Are the Yaujta evil? Vote again I fixed the poll.
I can sit through most things people find boring and il still somewhat enjoy it.
Thatās just me liking to learn tho.
Even if itās about a person.
Science yo.
Lol
Totally saved that human there. No negotiations or anything.
Hey sometimes itās about getting the perp lol
Well, Iād like to see one instance of a Yautja negotiation. 'i want an completely undetectable cloak and a space ship whose signal cannot be traced. And i want some skulls and a million Yautja dollars in 10s and 20sāšš
Going for a jog. Back in 30. Heres some humor to hold you overā¦
Lol why when earth currency is nothing to a Pred and that video š¤£
I donāt have enough information about yautja society to make that call so i defer to human equivalent
I was expecting posts into hundreds by the time o returned. I guess ātime [really did] stand just for meā. LoK SR reference
Eh. We tried lol.
Its ok for day one. New ideas might arise. If anything, there is always the ābumpā.
Hoping for Royce tapes come Tuesday
And if no tapes are available, it will be interesting to see what the Comanche take on Yautja is.
Looks to me their ācodeā is very simplistic, what we know of it from the 1st 3 films and ONLY thoseā¦
It seems if you dishonor yourself or the clan, youāre fuct.
Very harsh. Perhaps would be better if there was a penalty and rehab program. Gotta value life more
Its too simplified, should have added in neutral, seeing that they come off that way mostly.
More specifically, if we had to go with the alignment chart, they seem to fit in the Lawful Neutral area in a universal scale, but also very likely they can fit in a Lawful Evil from the human POV. As from what I gathered from a definition of a DND chart:
A lawful neutral character acts as law, tradition, or a personal code directs them. Order and organization are paramount to them. They may believe in personal order and live by a code or standard, or she may believe in order for all and favor a strong, organized government.
Makes sense in line with their kind, in the blue/orange morality manner. They live in a society with a Council of Ancients that dictated the rules of their kind, enforcing a strict Code of Honor that dictate the way of The Hunt. They donāt want to enslave or take over a planet, nor they are interested in causing useless suffering on others for the sake of it. Instead its all based on a tribal way of life to travel around the galaxy, find a promising planet, go in, hunt the strongest opponents they find worthy, and then kill them. They self destruct only to preserve the secrecy of their kind and ensuring their technology does not fall into the wrong hands. The ones who do slay a Predator is spared by the clan and sometimes they can reward those who slain their kind if they wish out of respect of their ability. They are disciplined by a strict code of honor that directs them to only hunt the most dangerous beings in the galaxy, anything that is weak, young, old, sick, or carrying a new life is seen dishonorable and met with severe punishment. Any who disregard that code is seen as a Bad Blood and will be punished by death.
In the eyes of us humans, that can also be seen as Lawful Evil due to the fact that do not come in peace, we are seen and hunted as prey by an invader from across the stars. In one way, marauders, mad men, lawless gangs will be a prime target for a Predator, due to their violent and destructive nature that harms the rest of society, so its just more pressure lost from us to deal with. Safe from them if we are not combatants, however one must remember that if you have a relative, friend, or a loved one that is in a position that makes them a combatant, such as law enforcement or in the military, they will go after them. That in your eyes is unjust and cruel due to the fact they are doing a job, and its messed up that they are to be hunted like an animal just for that. Predators do not care if you are good, evil, or a neutral person, long as you are a capable combatant, you are fair game to them.
Lets look at Comanche for a minute. If feral was to significantly decrease the amount of men of the tribe, the tribe could fall prey to other tribes. Should that come into consideration that they are potentially disruption social order? Their action could indirectly lead to suffering of innocents (women, children, Illl, old)
I never expected them to be anything but brutal hunters, killing us for sport. Probably eating us too. Otherwise why skin and hang some of us to drain out? Gotta be for the meat.
I expect the rearing of the young to incredibly cruel by human standards as well, making sure theyāre fit for the hunts. Kinda like how Spartans male children were basically tortured to turn them into soldiers from the time they could walk and the weak/deformed were discarded.
But there WAS the Concrete Jungle story, where after being exiled for 100 yrs, Scarface was given the opportunity to redeem himself and regain his honor. Thatās about as far as Iād give it for āredemptionā.
Never seen in movies that they would consume s human, but a possibility, if we are just another animal to hunt.
Spartan comparison is fitting.
The Scarface example should be the rule, not exception, perhaps.
Seen? No. Alluded to with the skinning and NOT taking trophies from Jim Hopper and crew, sure. Makes sense from a hunting perspective. Not a kills are worth making a trophy from, but you can eat damn near anything you kill.
At least in pred 2 the skinned bodies seemed to be more for display than anything else. They were too in the open.
In OG itās hard to say. The bodies were definitely hidden, but not secured either as vultures weāre picking at them.
Well, itās all we have, really. And thatās just from a game. In my mind, CH wouldāve gotten a SEVERE penalty for not only losing tech, but allowing prey to make it back to his ship.
It did seem like CH was planning to leave. But maybe he was planning to regroup. He could have potentially still used the cloak to retrieve tech and kill pursuers. Never happens cause you gotta respect 1v1s i guess
Iām still not sure what generates the cloak. In preds 2 it was the mask, but i think it has to be the computer. Itās definitely not the mask in phg
