That is something specific to the royal bloodline. From the anime it seemed like that was a given and that’s it.

I’m still not clear on the concept of how Eren will activate the Foundong titan. Supposedly he needs to be in contact with a royal. If the tital was taken by Marley, they still would not be able to use it because no royal blood except for Zeke (soon to be dead anyway and has no keeds as far as I know, and nothing has been mentioned about Marley knowing that he is a royal), it would only guarantee that eldisns wouldn’t have it. They would need Hystoria also, which the warriors tried to take once they found out she was royalty. They were really thinking on their feet.

I guess there was an accidental plan that would work
