You know like Jungle Hunter stalking Dutch’s group and HUNTING them and actively avoiding getting shot at.

but no he busts through the wall of the hospital like the kool aid man and punches them all in the stomach because they just stand there & he is the only mary sue pred of the movie.
Apparently all the avp1 preds shouldve just bumrushed the xenos and picked them up in both hands and whatever other super elite master pro technique.
Guns? just jump infront of them and pick them up while everyone just stands there.

Its like if the first Predator movie had the pred jump down infront of dutch’s squad and kill them all with wristblades while they just stood there in shock. What a terrible pred movie that would be right? Thats what avpr is.
Its not telling me the pred is experienced its telling me the enemies are braindead and dont shoot back.

Show, not tell.

Sorry to be a killjoy but Wolf was kinda stupid. Sure, Elites and by extension (because he is one) Battlemasters are supposed to be these one man army kinda deals, Wolf gets consistently sneaked up on by Xenos, gets bitched by a Predalien and treats it as an equal, as well as mentioned before, loses his stuff more than City Hunter ever did.

But that’s the only NECA bio that’s “off” tbh. All the others, especially the new ones are great and develop a lot of stuff. Like the soldiers from Armored Lost Predator’s packaging turned out to be O.W.L.F Operatives when they dropped in the game.

  2. Sucks that you can’t see anything because most of the effects they did were practical, even the facehuggers, wolf, xenos, & predalien. In the behind the scenes footage you see the level of detail and effort that went into it, making it even sadder that you physically can’t see any of that detail.

Oh god! I completely forgot about the people in that movie. It’s like m night Shyamalan was giving them acting lessons, no one knew how to remote and it was so badly written. No character development worth a damn

Lighting was terrible. Creature designs were top notch. Entire teen romance/bullying storyline was b.s. Completely unnecessary and should have no place in an Alien or Pred film. Modern teenagers are good for absolutely nothing, so how the fuck are they gonna survive alien killing machines? Storyline with army mom should’ve been the main human story, with the guy released from prison a secondary character (with no teenaged brother) so it could be maybe army mom can’t trust him, whatever, drama stuff. I don’t know why the Hybrid would skin anyone. That’s not like an instinct for Preds, it’s taught, so why would a xeno do it automatically? But that’s far from the worst thing ever. I did think it was kinda funny that at the beginning the directors weren’t afraid to kill a kid with a xeno. The hospital maternity ward bit went a little far. Gore for the sake of gore isn’t needed. Like basically all of Alien 4. Wolf was great. His look was great, his weapons were great. Should’ve made it out alive. Idk why every Pred has to die. Maybe studio has a rule about it or something. Hybrid was great looking too. Have no harsh feelings about it laying its own eggs. Have to get them drones somehow! Final verdict- 2 stars. The pros- great creature design and R-rated, adult oriented as it should be. Acted well enough. Sfx were good too. Really liked the short look at Yautja prime. The Cons- poorly lit. Missed most of the action because of that. Teen dramas are never a good idea for anything. Wolf should’ve succeeded in his mission. Does Alien blood no longer effect Pred gear, or does Wolf wear fancy gear? Unclear. Sequel to a poor 1st outing probably isn’t going to be great.

The Xenomorphs weren’t standing still. They were all running towards Wolf but he’d quickly shoot them with his pistol and use the sharukens against the ones charging at him.

Same with the sewer fight, Wolf literally got pin down in human waste by a group Xenomorphs. Then thrown like a rag doll by the Pred alien.

Wolf didn’t bust through like Kool aid man lol he literally had to crawl up that whole he made after using his special fist weapon that gave him extra strength or did like a pulse wave push on impact. Both sewer and hospital scenes
