The “Experience/Elite” Card will always be pulled like it automatically makes the predator a superhero. Like the predator is going to go super saiyan once he’s reached elite status and can kill singlehandedly stop planetary invasions. Good thing Predators exists so we are positive they still have all the same weaknesses with 1000 years of experience or whatever.

By the way, since when did “Experience” become a prerequisite when dealing with aliens? The aliens have no weapons and no experience. Do you really need to be at the height of your hunting career to shoot an xenomorph with an autoaim weapon? I could kill a few aliens right now if I had a pulse rifle. If I kill a bunch of aliens right now, do I get “Elite” status?

Pros:

  • Tech/ Gear was dope af
  • it felt actually as an scfi movie with pred and alien screening
  • We got a glimpse of yatuja planet
  • We got a glimpse of their armory
  • The hunting felt really nice and killing as well

Cons:

  • Short
  • Very fast and disconnected story
  • Lightning was horrible XD
  • Acting was kinda mediocre on human part

Cons:
Story is set in sub urbs
Most of the movie revolves around pizza boy personal drama
Most interesting battel (Aliens vs US NG was off screen)
Most of “Aliens takeing over town” happens off screen and is only suggested
Predator has only 11 mins scree time in this movie
You literally can’t see shit
Illogical errors - like humans abel to use yautja advanced weapons, police giving vital info to a convict, etc
Very poor acting
Predalien - logicaly has no sense in this movie. Breeding cycle has no sense in aline universe… why wolud this creature be more productive than a queen? Why dose it rip spines out? Aliens born of humans do not go about the deily jobs of their former hosts.
Atmosphere of this movie is no wehere near where both franchioses are.
I can do this all day…

The movie was too dark , no asshole thought about lighting during filming?

Weak cast , the predalien was barely in it and it really felt low budget , but even then good movies can be made .

It has pros aswell for sure, but then if it wasn’t the signature yautja we love to watch on screen? It would have been a one time watch at best . Like this game , the predators alone keep you coming back .

Wasn’t there talks of a series? Same with die hard , they seem to be looking at episode seasons instead of feature films . Maybe cheaper to make ? But I also heard it was considered to be pg-13 ? Maybe just rumours, but it sounds bad regardless

Requiem had dogshit acting and a pretty meh story. Even with all of its problems, AvP1 is somehow better. Was Wolf badass? Of course. No doubt about it. At least it’s not the worst thing in the entirety of the Predator franchise. The Predator (2018) is so bad that I’ve only seen it once. And I’ll never watch it again. Fugitive isn’t cool enough to make me want to subjugate myself to that eye aids of a film.

personally I’m not against ​​an AVP 3. I think there can always be an excellent avp movie, it just has to respect the the two franchises’s traditions.

I maintain the monster action is the best part of the film.

Outside that it’s a sequel you can tell Fox just kind of farted out with a reduced budget, a weird choice in screenwriter simply not suited to either franchise much less a crossover, the fx guys being the directors, and then overcompensating for the creative decisions on the first film.

And frankly it’s just kind of sad talking about the crossover. It’s abandonment led to Predators which is directly responsible for the state of the fourth film. Predators was supposed to be a pallets cleanser in tone and aesthetic and it’s early concept for Mr.Black would go on to be used as the Assassin and basic plot for the fourth one.

Alien made the Alien Prequels and nearly killed the franchise.

Beyond that the discourse boils down to a bunch of the older people and those they converted just not understanding it’s a comic film and a versus movie. It was never going to be like the other films especially since it was the first Predator project in a little more than 10 years. It’s cancer every time a comic forum or AvP galaxy brings it up because no one gets it or understands anything like “stones and glass houses”.

It’s basically a franchise that held a ton of potential and Fox kneecapped it and that failure is what’s directly responsible for the state of both franchises. Fox should’ve lost the franchise long ago.

I was never a fan of any of the preds in avp 1 , ive no idea why people are so into them . The movie was ok and so were they I just wouldn’t call them anything to pine over
