RIP Kevin Peter Hall, the only Predator, every pred after that is a cheap knockoff, barely getting at least a few good scenes or proper pred kinesics/egocentric psycho character, if any.
Around Predators and AvP2 (although AvP was somewhat already telling as well) I already knew this franchise is entirely gone, the AvP movie at least had hopes for future development.
It’s fascinating to see the amount of copium, zero self respect and under low standards in the fandom I see around this potato game. It does explain the Preys supposedly good feedback, people are desperate.
On the other hand the casual viewer and payerbase do not care at all and simply consume just another mindless product for a quick snack or time with a friend in front of the big screen or get high by being part of the hype of some allegedly good movie premiering, so they love whatever shizo garbage they watch through if it touches a few hormones or fictionally bonds them together in a socially entertaining experience or be part of a group.
Typical money machines offering cheap thrills and barely any real value, hard work or talent behind it.
Design, stories and screenwriting are not going to be touched on, I’ve talked about it more than I should care to.
You guys can go dig through Pinterest and see AI generation or random fans doing amazing desings and capturing the lore atmosphere (plus some funny crossovers or mashups). And these people are not payed millions to do it either. If this does not ring a bell, I don’t know what to tell you people.
I’m on my steady way to abandoning the game once again after the same 2 months of mediocrity, love to say you’ll probably wont see me on the forums either, the schisms here and social copium are hilarious (or depressing/creepy).
