Balancing is okay, Illfonic.

“Balancing” is absolutely okay for the majority of matches.

It makes no sense to balance the game for the loudest minority in this forum: PC players playing as fireteam with friends.
If predators had a 50:50 win rate against such teams, other fireteams with random players would suffer alot.

To those PC players:
If you want to play with friends and want a challenge, play private matches. Switch the predator among your friends.

Regarding “balancing”:
Making changes each patch is normal for multiplayer games and keeps the experience fresh. As you know lots of games are not “balanced”. For instance, in many role-playing games certain builds are superior to others - depending on the patch. Often lots of weapons or skills are rather useless - just like in case of Predator: Hunting Grounds. So the “balancing” in Predator: Hunting Grounds is okay, i.e. average.

Fully agree. Balance is fine. If you don’t think so, go kill yourself.

When we say 50/50 we mean the best FT shouldn’t take down the best Predators in two minutes.

I agree with this guy, balance is ok , the game is in the best state it has ever been. Also the queue is 3 mins it means that there are a lot of active players, probabily more than in the first 2 months. I would call 800k active players, maybe more.

Many of the predator’s perks are completely trash and, with only 3 slots, there are some that are just never worth using.

The SAWZ50 does too much damage taking huge chunks of health and knocking off the mask in two hits.

The GOSL-R, hammerhead, and mercenary retain too much damage at medium to long range and the AR-W somewhat completely outclasses the G-ROW.

The minigun is still garbage.

Field medic is pure ridiculousness and the support protection passive needs to be at least half its current value, because Dutch 87 with the right build next to a support can be directly hit with 2 full plasma caster bolts and survive, just bonkers.

I can handle the fireteam being generally stronger than predator, but these issues totally ruin the experience, imo.

Thanks! Didn’t even realize that they changed the passives, too, in the latest patch. LOL. As always, no communication in-game by Illfonic.

Actually, difference as Predator was not that great between version 2.06 and 2.08/2.09. It rather depends on the skill of the fireteam. Against skilled PC fireteam players who play with friends it is obviously way more difficult than against average PS4 players - no matter the game’s version. However, in the vast majority of games, predators on PC are up against mixed teams of PC and PS4 players.

I read the patch notes but only noticed the new specializations. I overlooked that passives were changed, too. In addition, I saw that there are no real changes for predator.

I doubt that playing as predator via quick match is too difficult for you. I assume that you eliminate most fireteams as predator. Sure, if you find a fireteam too late and especially if playing a slow predator class, some will escape but it does not really matter.

However, it is really rare that you get eliminated as predator only chance is when eating and did not notice a close fireteam member. Even premade PC fireteams cannot eliminate you if you make no mistakes. Sure, you cannot approach them directly. One second and half of your health bar is gone but you can eliminate one or two of them with tactical skill.

On the other hand, when playing fireteam via quick play, it is the other way around: winning as fireteam in most cases, eliminating many predators.

So, if you have a high “win” rate in quick match no matter if playing as fireteam or as predator, you cannot say that the game is one-sided for you.

The current “balance” has got the advantage that predator waiting times are rather short. :)

i can 1v1 predator easy with scout class, i can second wind the predator with 30 bullets out of my asshole, if i die ITS FINE I CAN RENFORCE MY ENTIRE TEAM EZ

Man, honestly, this is the most cringe post I’ve ever seen in this forum. The balance is shit for both ps4 and pc.

I did not say that “balance” is fine but okay. I would say comparable with most games.

And I doubt your example. If you played against yourself, the predator would win for sure. Actually, separate players are easy prey no matter the player’s skill - you know that.

Sure, you eliminate unskilled predators in 1vs.1 but the reason for this is not “balancing” but your personal skill and experience.

However, the predator’s controls and mechanics are even less beginner friendly than the fireteam’s.
