Just had a game, with the above mentioned setup.
Don’t know what they did, I didn’t read anything in the patch notes about a Berserker buff but… man… the thing is an absolute beast now. Hits hard and his health bar never drops…
Berserker + Elder Blade = OP
Zerk got nerfed. Its the sword thats a beast now.

in patch notes they nerfed berserker melee damage but they increased range and damage of sword

So is the animation better? Like does Predator still hold the sword backwards like a self defense instructor wanna-be?
Pretty sure it’s the sword that’s strong now. The noobs won again and got Berserker nerfed.
I roll zerker with the net and sword. I am pleased.

It needed one. Not very many ppl were using it because it was deemed so weak. Hopefully this will create diversity in what ppl use.

It’s funny because the sword pre-patch was the most powerful weapon at the Predator’s disposal, it merely required skill to use and was thus never used. People would much rather run the combistick and spam the attack button mindlessly which is why they got parried to death. The developers don’t realize it but they’ve just given the skilled Predator players an absolutely monstrous buff and this, combined with double-dunk slam, should see Predators actually winning games finally.

IDK, I think it needed tweaks. I thought the animations and reach of the weapon just didn’t make it viable to retreating FT’s. Iv been using the Smart Disc and Net Gun lately so I haven’t used the melee weapons in some time, but I’ll need to give the sword another shot.
the bigger combo portion of Elder sword itself is slightly varied but it overall looks the same, it just has more dmg and range to it now too while swinging
U notice how much faster the speed of the disk is now too? Ive been using the disk as my main weapon the last week beofre this patch and it for sure feels way faster to me now, idk why they didnt mention that. Let alone the dmg increase they said and the HP of it
Trust me, the sword was very viable in experienced hands and now it’s absolutely disgusting and should be your first choice every time. It had the highest dps of all the weapons pre-patch and now it has even more damage and reach, I have no idea why a Predator would run anything else.
Nah I haven’t had a chance to download the patch yet. Will try later tonight though for sure. But if it’s speed has really been improved that’ll be pretty cool cuz I’ve seen scouts outrun that damn thing far too often.
yes ive had quite a few scenarios with scouts out running it…the speed is dramatically different while accerlating it…here i just recorded this to demonstrate
Could of been why you saw it so infrequently, the tier level you had to be to use it successfully was just so small. Like I said, Iv seen way too many FT users just step outside of its reach. But glad to hear it’s even better. I honestly don’t think there’s anything wrong with making skilled Predator users even better.
also it goes through the destryoable barrels now too

Woooooow. That looks awesome. I don’t think it’s faster tho, I think the animation is just smoother, idk. But either way, that’s great to see.
