Every goddamn time this subject comes up I think the same thing, and wonder why the person requesting the ‘PVE/Bot’ mode can’t figure this obvious issue out.

Illfonic does not have the people or resources to create anything remotely approaching a decent AI.

Why do people keep requesting shit which is so obviously out of the realms of capability for this game and it’s developers?

My worry is they will start to waste time on this, and we’ll get a Bot mode which will be about as fun and challenging as opening loot boxes.

No cause bots would be pointless to play against.

Playing something pve tho would be more akin to playing vs npc’s, or bosses.

Just because their a.i.
Doesn’t make them bots.

Bots are just for tutorial shit.
For hunt, it would literally serve no purpose.
You go in, fight bots, but it wouldnt amount to anything.

Because it lacks the human element from good ft’s.

But a pve thing would actually serve a purpose, depending on how well ilfonic implemented it.
They could have unique skins and what not that you can learn from completing these pve modes.

Hell itl be rewarding as long as it’s really fun to do.

But a hunt mode with bots?
Wtf would be the point?
Unless they make the bots never miss, always keep tabs on you, like impossible to beat, then theres no point.

Because if all you wanna do is jump in and kill everything easily, then just go kill the a.i. there is right now.
It would be the same thing.

A waste of time.

Besides, theres not even a point in people talking about this anyway until the a.i. gets improved.

I would not mind bots but considering how bad the devs are at AI in this game I would rather them focusing on other things then diverting resources to this. In the end if 1 leaves the bot, unless they give him GOD LIKE HP and damage is going to be useless.

Its not a bad thing but we probably should focus on other things.

I’m not sure how experienced you are in smite, but I have been playing for like 4 years and bots are insanely helpful for learning new characters and teaching friends. And before you say they aren’t good enough for your friends to actually learn anything, also wrong. The bots will gank you. The bots will team ult you. The bots understand basic strategy

I hope they do put in bots, eventually because the game is going to eventually die and perhaps some day I would like to give it a run trough and bots are better then nothing.

In this case it would not be to learn, but exactly that. Just to hop on and play predator without wait times that are insane, and also, it would open the door for co op multiple predator modes vs huge amounts of FT. It would just be fun

Lmao oh boy if you really think those bots will teach you anything I hope to god you never get up against a team of players that the matchmaking loves to choose for me to lane against a good 70% of the time.

Bots are slightly better on smite now a days compared to how they were before.
I been playing since 2016, and not once have the bots ever served me a purpose except fucking around.

No, bots do not help you learn new characters.
Because bots will always do the same things, you can exploit their behaviors.

I’m sorry but if you gotta play vs bots to learn a new character, then you’re just a slow learner lol.

The recent new characters starting from baba, I have not liked enough to actually play them.
But every other character I learned them in match vs other ppl.

If I’m really. Really curious about something specific, I will go to jungle practice to see damage values, but this is more for builds, which I don’t ever really do, because, with how bad the balance is in smite now a days, you’re pretty much stuck with one build for characters, except for a select few who are more flexible.

You don’t have to believe me.
But, because bots always run off the same pattern they serve no true purpose.

I dont care who agrees or not.
Though I have seen way more people agree with me than not.

Doesnt matter anyway.

Like I said, with our current a.i.?

Boss. I never said I find them hard to kill. I said they are good for new players and to learn a new gods kit. Which is entirely undeniable. and if you think you are good at the game so you get to decide we can 1v1 right now and I promise I will dog shit you. I’m very very very good at smite on console and I stand by there’s no better way for a new player to learn than the bots. Cause good luck learning the game against real players who already have the right builds and knowledge of the game. But this is a totally different reason as to why we want them in PHG. We want them for fun. In smite they are more of a tool

If ilfonic could actually pull off some good a.i., what would you prefer?

A shitty little bot mode that would not actually help you get better,
Or a fun pve mode where you can hunt different creatures, maybe xenomorphs, or just anything,
That’s implemented well and is extremely engaging?

Where we can team up with other players?

Both are bots. Your question is asking me would I like bots or bots with a new game mode. Obviously I’d love either! I just don’t expect them to do the PVE mode with friends cause they are illfonic hahahaha but if they did that would be RIGHTEOUS

That’s what I’m saying. The mode he’s suggesting would be phenomenal. I just can’t see illfonic doing it cause, ya know. They made things like a Viking and samurai, and gave us Marshawn Lynch before we even had all the main movie predators lol, clearly not the brightest bunch
