Interesting, that one can see traps with low graphics, I once tried out whether bear traps can be seen by FT with my setup - nooooooooo way, literally nothing, they just are completely invisible.
I do not know, whether this really makes sense in term of game play, but on the other hand I do not begrudge the predator some advantages too…

I would never have thought about whether traps can be HEARD? Hello? Which bear trap has a warning sound for deterring bears…
But, I will be open minded next time when I know a bear trap is ahead, maybe I then loose my stupidity too :)
Said thread could be interesting for me too - as I have the same problems; first: I am German, second: I suffer from some severe lag/ping/internet/CPU-GPU-overpowered or whatever problem…

It was me, I said on the stream that I cannot see my traps anymore because I lowered my shadows, Fairy is just turning things around so it seems like I was complaining about not being able to cheat anymore or something, just read what I wrote:
He can literally go to my YouTube channel and see how it looked before I changed my graphics.

Thanks to this awesome thread, several PC players have confessed cheating or exploiting.
Do NOT play with anyone of those.
If you see their names, just leave the lobby.
These PC players can play with themselves like they usually do IRL, too.
They will have excuses like “I just use a macro.” for quick strikes with knife or pistol.
And you will have only one answer for them: “Get lost, cheater!.”

And just an advise for future games for you, Scarface and PsychoBaBas:
Do not confess neither when playing with your virtual “friends” nor in public threads that you cheat or even better do NOT cheat at all.
turn down your in-game music. you will hear a high pitched whirling sound when you are near a trap.
it is possible that your speakers cannot reproduce those frequencies or, on a more sadly note, that your ears have sustained damage and you cannot hear those frequencies.
But yeah, try turning off the in-game music and hopefully you will hear them.

You either need better headphones or maybe an in-ear aid device.
I have been able to spot traps since day 1 even if they are invisible, just by sound.
Granted, I am a musician and audio engineer, so paying detailed attention to sound comes naturally for me.
The same for pred. 9 times out of 10 I spot pred (and FT) by sound and not visual queues
I think you simply underestimate the effects to your ingame perception after you drastically change the settings.
Of course I know how to locate the pred and traps by sound.
But change your graphic options drastically and you will notice that even you will need to have a few days to adapt again.
I mean… yeah… I have to adapt to play at a better frame rate… what a crucible, hahahahaha
To me is just better to use low graphics because of the performance. Coming from playing mostly AAA games that are highly optimized and switching to this crap running at random frame drops from 90 to 30, yeah… is a nightmare. But like I told you on discord, for streaming, you just can’t do low graphics or it looks like a 15 year old game.
I think the whole denying cheating ? Is ok if you don’t cheat 😄 . Its the denying that most don’t cheat , that can’t be an accurate statement . If one person can use macros , then so can hundreds if not thousands . That’s the only issue I have , blanket statements like such

For me the problem is not that they can shoot throught a thin piece of metal, it kind of makes sense.
Also the predator can inflict damage to the FT by slamming on the roof, so I guess the FT having a way to respond to that is only fair.
BUT…
What is absolutely junky is the fact that the blood patches that the predator leaves on the roof can be seen from inside the room and the same goes for the laser pointer of the plasma cannon.
