Unlike most guys on here who deny what they do ingame, I will tell you what I do, don’t do, have done, or have not done. You can take it or leave it.
I have a PC and I make good use of it, i didn’t buy it just for gaming. I even download pirated content sometimes.
Sorry you are very limited with your platform if that’s the case.

I tried low graphics yesterday for the fun of it I don’t understand how it helps. Everything just looks shitty…maybe the less amount of foliage helps. I don’t think I’ve encountered a “cheater” since the sony days. I thought I was the shit until I played against a pc FT. The only reason I bought a pc too. It’s quite a dramatic difference especially when pushing high frames on a pc gaming monitor. The smoothness on all games is still unbelievable to me. Ex. The smart disc cuts like butter. My ps4 is only used for movies now.

True, I play with PS4 Pro & TV, whereby the TV does a gaussian filtering. So, just some 30FPS, blurring AND gaussian filtering.
When my PC friend already was dead and watching through my eyes, he constantly told me: the pred is here or the pred is there - I literally saw nothing.
If one even takes such game monitors into account, which do local, adaptive enhancements, the difference to my setup might be lightyears…
By the way, that is, why from some point on, I concentrated on hearing. Although my ears indeed are a little defect and my headphones have a big gap between 10 and 2 o’clock.
So, I might be one of the “wheelchair users” in this game…
By the way, does anyone have a recommendation for a CHEAP and good -in particular in terms of locating sounds- wireless game headphone…?

I can’t reccommend you any good Headphones, but even my cheap 20€ Logitech ones give me a lot of advantage in playing.

The biggest difference isn’t the monitor itself, its how far away you sit from it.
If you sit a meter away from your tv you will have a different experience and you’ll notice much more things than sitting 3 meters away.

But the usage of a TV might also play a significant role in sitting in a wheelchair here… Imagine just a shadow of a contour from the invisibility cloak of the pred - and then blur it with its environment by using a gaussian filter…

it all depends on the size of the screen, the quality of the screen, the view distance and the resolution of the screen.
you can’t expect to see the same thing one sees on a 1440p monitor from less than 2 feet view distance, compared to a 4K 55 inch TV sitting 8 feet from you.
there are TVs out there that look better than some monitors, not typically, but it happens.
my best suggestion if you are on console and constantly feel pc players are cheating… just turn crossplay off. if you cant deal with the disadvantages, just don’t. stay away, or play another game
Or like a few guys already did by now: play together and learn from the PC guys.
I know PS4 preds that came to our previous discord because they wanted to get better against us, and I honestly like such games more than the usual PC pubs where you destroy 90% in less than 5 minutes.
Sure, he would most likely get destroyed in less time, but the educational value…

Learn what exactly? That PC players have a significant equipment/control input advantage? They already know that.
Not all PS players are casual clueless dummies, just as not all PC players are super skilled pros.
Don’t mistake a platform advantage for a skill advantage.

No, but you underestimate the amount of concentrated knowledge and testing in the PC community.
And I don’t mean that we need to educate or teach PS4 players, but rather exchange knowledge.
Of course we don’t know everything and there is also stuff we learn from others.
But playing against PC players constantly will set your difficulty much higher, so you train harder, which basically makes you become a stronger player in the end. Simple.
There are literally some PS4 players who came to our discord to train with us because of that sole reason.

tbh I have played with several console players who are in league with PC players. I’ve played with a controller and can do headshots without problems. Matter of fact lots of PC player friends were surprised when I told them I played with a controller. A few of us play with them. We even have one dude who switched from PC to PS5 and performs just the same.
It all comes down to excuses. Is it easier to play with a M&K? probably, if you are used to it. Is it a limiting factor on this game? No. If you are good you are good. But I ain’t spending $500 on a platform to prove that. Best I can do is grab a controller and limit the framerate to 30FPS, which I’ve done already. Boohoo…
PS5 has smoother gameplay and more fps than my laptop + you can plug in any KB and mouse.
So imagine having PS5 with K&M against PS4’s, it’s basically PC vs console (old PC with controller).
How’s that fair?

If the others can use it but don’t I would consider it their fault, but not unfair.
I could also buy a Neural Impulse Actuator and use it instead of a keyboard, would that be unfair too? I mean the others could also buy one.
Using a specific type of controller doesn’t make you good.
Experience does.
My point was, PS5 performs better than some PC’s but ppl are still screaming “PC advantage” etc.

Don’t forget not all of us set our graphics to low. Some of us PC players have graphics set to high/cinematic. There is all this mist and lighting effects, it is very beautiful and often distracting. Tanking FPS to console levels.
I will agree there is input choice advantage. But again not all of us use mouse and keyboards. I use my trusty Xbox 360 controller I have been to hell and back with.
Controller has advantage of easy perry and interaction speed. Obviously it is easier to aim with M/k. but it is also not as fun in my opinion. and what is the point of playing this game if your not having fun regardless of your platform?

I wonder if this low graphics stuff will ever end.
Low Graphics only give you one advantage, and that is a more responsive game with high fps.
Almost everything that made low graphics abusive has been changed.
I need to use low graphics now due to bugs and now:
-Preds get invisible faster and are nearly completely invisible while running around cloaked.
-Traps are completely invisible.
And a bit more stuff that is rather insignificant.
Yes, in the beginning of the game, you could literally see cloaked preds across the whole map when using low graphics, but that is not the case anymore, since the cloak modes have been changed. (you can switch it back in custom private matches)
