I think the simple fact that the best they could come up with for target iso was red and white circles speaks miles about their capabilities there. All the foliage is either really taxing or they just want a really streamlined game or both.

30 min of actual like match match not saying 30 min worth of objectives… objectives would be min 5 min and upto 15 min depending how bad or good u do them… but they cant be speedran so yeah… 5 min would be so little for the match objectives… ill say 10 min is ideal… min… and can last upto 15 min… so 30 min overall of match… and when timer ticks 0 its win for pred i guess…

Cloak behavior is currently very shit if u ask me like… still needs 40% more polishing… better textures and how AI acts when pred is cloaked…

anyways the 30 min is key… so both parties dont have to hurry and stress over time… like as predator u dont stress due to fireteam insta losing if clock tics 0… but fireteam is forced to speedrun tho… which is sad… as predator when i play i often also speedrun myself just to nullify the speedrunning

No. I’m fine with branching pathways based on performance but complete rng is too much. Right now each mission has a mini story to it that branching paths can take advantage of but not complete rng.

Define speedrun.

It also depends on where this game goes. We could go the siege route of several short rounds or we could go the Overwatch route of one or two long rounds.

The timer needs to be tight imo. Force FT to push the objective and garuntee that Pred has time pressure by nature. Not by artificial changes made to force playstyles.

I’d say Predator also needs a bit of input. Like getting to the obj first will allow him to tamper/hack it which will make the mission longer.

But ya branching paths in missions sounds fun.

I’m 50/50

On one hand I’d rather health be consistent but in the other this could create some cool dynamics like a gear item that can replace armor and areas where Pred can interact for about a heal time crafting weaker armor to replace his.

And in general this could lead to mid battle crafting like in AVP which I would like.

Like the minigun takes more stamina? (If you could run obviously)

A. That’s what mobility is for

B. I’d rather the stats just be balanced the way they are.

Either

A. This is pointless because it’s weak

B. It activates so fast it doesn’t matter or

C. It takes a decent while to activate in which case you would just cancel the sprint and restart. If it’s based on stamina left then you did nothing except make running take more stamina.

Not to mention running is an essential part of the flow of the game for FT I wouldn’t touch it.

Walk straight up to an A.I’s face while crouching :p

Remove reinforcements

I actually think we should nerf gear healing and put more empthesis on natural healing like pigs to open up more gear diversity since the healing items are literally the best items in the game.

All you did was give it multiple uses and show mudded FT footprints as well as a reduced cooldown. Either way I don’t care. TI is good as is but a buff isn’t going to skewer my opinion of it.

game was marketed as asymmetrical PVE game which is based on full RNG… but scripted like damage and shit… depending on like few stats n shit… soo ill say ur kinda wrong but i see where ur going…

By speedrun i mean there is no RNG… people already know which mission objectives they are just from the name lol… this game has 0% rng… lmao… literally 0% … its all pre scripted… and pre-scripted content can be speedran if learned by muscle memory… the max objectives last are 5min… and usually 3min…

ok yeah @Fire has actually great idea where if they camped the predator target isolation lets predator know by like an alert that there is an increased temperature readings in that area and the prey is probably (obv) located at so then predator needs to go there and scan with target isolation and then hunt them…

Depends a lot of people would think of this as a nerf… but idk why you see it as a buff XD… well it can be good if you use it well… and suck if u use it wrongly… its sort of passive ability… and will become a passive ability if they add it…

That’s not a problem. Yes matches are too short but speedruning inherently is not bad as long as it’s balanced around it.

RE: resistance is literally a multiplayer game based on speedruning.

Hollow knight has a YT who is literally Playing PVP with people trying to interrupt a speedrun.

This is what i would say it should look like more… with better textures… when like moving fast

That would be 80% invisibility if u ask me…

and then i would say it should be 100% fully non visible for human eye when not moving… and 99.9% invisible when moving fast in distance and leaping… and it should shimmer but only very so slightly

I would be fine if they didnt market it as a PVE immersive asymmetrical game… and made it as PVP symmetrical shooter game.

It shouldnt even be balanced around on speedrunning… unless they just re-market the game and make it just pvp symmetrical game… the speedrun is a immersion killer for most of us here… even if i play as fireteam it fucking makes me feel like deleting the game right after when i see even slight game mechanic abuse to win… that shouldnt be a thing…

I meant… when you are mudded up and crouched behind them, you can perform a stealth kill and slit throats or stab someone in back, maybe even they can add to carry a body and hide it in bush like in hitman… either way crouching shouldnt alert anyone or let anyone see u from behind… especially for predator lmao

Also even in the predator 2018, you cant see a fking predator when hes standing still lmao… as some of members of this community pointed out in 87’ movie they were able to see pred on the tree… the scene with like hiding under trunk…

No it doesn’t asymetrical just means two sides with apposing abilities face each other.

A. The focus was always on Pred v.s FT. Any mention of PVE was because, it’s technically PVE.

B. How does that affect speedruning? Speedruning is primarily done in PVE games so.

The best players will speedrun. So balancing around that is mandatory.

No im saying its a MUST have randomized missions, randomized pig spawns, i don’t mind pre set spawn points for fireteam… as long predator does not spawn as its been scripted rn… like realistically lets be honest… isnt it a fun killer for u when u play either of both sides… and then u see like predator knowing when u are by like spawning at same place as fireteam spawns… its always that place… and u can just go meet up with them half way trough lol…

Ok so basically it technically is due to pigs, and AI… but then again what people can and are using and are seeing now that they can use againts one another… is highly a fun killer…

they are able to like abuse pig spawns for example… they are able to mainly abuse the match objectives… like realistically at this point its not fun anymore and its like… oh yay this match objective script… its gonna take 3 min to complete… wooo… its sort of like that for me… lmao… i see others knowing that too by mudding up and leaving ditching us with pred and going mudded up to pre- clear maps and buildings for next mission objective only for us to like wait for the objective timer the orange one to decrease and for us to exfil…
