Combistick throw damage
To me, playing randoms I find support to be the thing that is the most useful and cover the most scenarios. With the slide trick you can also keep your stamina up.
Dutch is because⦠Well⦠I am a big fan of Arnold but I find assault a superior option.
Predators that use the combistick sacrifices alot to make those 2-3 hit kills, i donāt think itās more than fair to keep it just the way it is. If youāre able to use your brain and think for yourself then you should make sure to have small trees, pillars or anything else that can pick up the spear throw instead of your character, works for the net gun too.
Teamwork is crucial when playing as Fireteam, especially if the Predator is a PC player who got some kind of experience, if you donāt watch eachotherās backs and stay observant, then good luck in the next round instead.

If you check the key mappings, you will see that the weapon wheel (default key āQā) is bound to two actions. Remove the second action and the weapon wheel quick change to knife from primary starts to work again. That was something that was introduced with the last patch if I remember correctly. Caused a lot of issues with close combat.
Just to be clear⦠a combi throw only does 115 damage to the body and 138 to the head. No perks added on ft or pred.
Nobody gets downed in 1 shot to the body, head shots kill a scout.
Head shots with a combi arenāt easy, even body shots arenāt easy on moving targets when getting shot because being shot flinches your aim.
If you are downed by 1 hit you were already low hp or on a scout and got hit in the head. If you were downed by wrist blades after a combi hit, your team can still pick you up.
In short, get good or get a good team. Never rely on random players to win a match. If you canāt find a good team, refer to the get good comment previously mentioned.
I dedicate this previous comment based on experience playing with more than one random players every game doing 0-100 damage every match. While my buddy and I do 1500-3000 damage each and we still lose. Sadly we arenāt even that good, just that much better than the average.
We do have our bad games, and there are truly gifted predators, there are truly gifted fireteams but the majority of ft players arenāt good enough to put 100 damage on a good predator.
You could argue that as a reason for predators to be nerfed. But the reasons they need to remain as is, is because exceptional fireteams already donāt have a challenge. The predator canāt stick his head out without losing its mask, canāt even stand still in cloak unspotted without grenades landing at its feet as soon as it clicks.

Most Preds focusing on combi-throw as a strat will run downrange though, so body damage becomes 126. So bye-bye Scout with no defensive perk.
and headshot becomes 151, so bye bye Assault with headshot.
Just to be clear, I donāt think the damage is the issue. Just highlighting that particular fact.
No your absolutely right, damage isnāt the issue, skill level is, when you take your average random ft member who (in my experience average between 0-200 damage per game) and put them in a match against a predator who can in fact hit R2, the end result is this person who thinks the predator needs nerfed.
The fact that this thread gets updated with new comments like it was something worth discussing: freaking non-sense.
Combi throw is one of the few , if not the only, counter to super aggressive PC and even good PS4 premade teams . Nerf that and BAM you just pushed the game one step further into unbalanced oblivion.

True, but it doesnāt need to do 100 damage⦠Recon and Scout have 120-125 respectively so if AI (which was buffed and does ALOT of damage now) or just a simple melee/bow strike you can insta down anyone, aka unbalanced. Just level it down to 85-90 not 90% of someoneās hp.
