Okay, we need to nail down some definitions, because @PHG23 your definition of a well developed character is a trading card with stats on it. “What’s Dutch’s hometown?” How does that tell me about the content of his character? You probably saw Rebel Moon and clapped if that’s what you think a fleshed out character is.
What do we know about Dutch? Let’s just look at the opening scene. We know his loyalty blinds him and his morals guide him. He has turned down jobs in the past because they were strict assassinations, and he wants no part in that. Now we know he’s a damn good soldier with lines he won’t cross. And he takes Dillon on his word because they’ve worked together before and have built up trust, one that allowed him to be tricked. And those are two things that you have to infer by watching the movie. No one says “Hey Dutch, I know you have morals, but thats why this mission is for you.” As for things stated, he doesn’t view his men as expendable. This does show his morals more and highlights the importance of his team which will guide his actions later.
What from Prey can you use to tell me about Naru that the movie doesn’t explicitly say and the director intended. Because we can say “She doesn’t care about her brother” Because of her actions, but I think DT would disagree, but he’s not that great at directing.

Dont waste your time he jus wants to be right on his small view of what “fleshed out” characters are. Dialogue and morals dont count as character building/ traits unless hes using it to prove his point.
