Yup! Rare do I notice someone who is actually observant to the inconsistencies of prey. The people who love it it seems to me time and again dont care about the details nor the FACt that prey doesn’t handle the lore correctly including the invisibility!
Most of those complaints are valid … though I can personally let go of the CG stuff since I know this was low budget.
You clearly dont quite get predator as well as you think you do and that’s where I found prey sorely lacking - which is it lacked consistencies and respect for the lore. And YES I too say the predator (if we can even call it that since it was by far the dumbest/ ugliest). It can still fight because you should know bullets even at close range can’t actually kill it - duh! If it was supposedly its injuries that kept it down, then how come it can still operate clearly at full strength without acting weak or disoriented? Naru clearly had lotsa silly plot armor nonsense especially the fact she can even figure out how the pred-tech worked BETTER than the predator itself - at what point did she observe the predator’s tech/ fighting style to know all that - catching glimpses of it doesn’t mean jack. You people overly defending the last fight reminds me lots of the fight in SW episode 7 where y’all wanted to so believe Rey wasn’t a marysue but everything was so earned (yeaaaah right!)
Naru was so overpowered that even after she got her leg clamped in a bear-trap she can still later suddenly perform that lame Trinity run-up-the-tree move which was so nonsensical given her tribe’s fighting style. And don’t get me started at those 2 perfectly placed rocks so she can conveniently ease her way up in between to dodge the spinning saw. What’s worst is she predicted exactly what height/ spot the predator would rise up from the quicksand - I mean she placed the mask at sucha perfect position it made zero sense [remember it has no face tracking nonsense] - and to think the predator would even use the arrow projectile [even though it ALREADY knows it wont work unless it’s wearing the mask on] - you trying to say that after shooting it in the head she can predict it’ll make the mistake of using the projectile and at the exact spot? The lamest thing ever!
I wonder if you even realize she’s responsible for the deaths of all the men she was with - her bro told her not to venture into the mountains and she disobeyed him, then they show up because they need to ‘bring her back’ and they died - who’s fault is that? Just coz they’re jerks doesn’t mean they deserve to die. That scene made me lose all respect for her.
Ultimately the ones who love prey just don’t know / care about the details or lore of Predator in general - hint >> invisibility. The fact that they have to point at part 1 to justify the flaws of prey just proves they’re not real predator fans.
